pacificpikachuHooray, heading down to San Francisco tomorrow! Turns out it's just easier and much, much cheaper to buy tickets for the bus at the bus station. You would think they would encourage buying tickets online for booking reasons, but...whatever. I'm really looking forward to it! As long as I don't have a weird, creepy, or annoying seatmate, I think I'll like the bus ride down there, too. Four hours of uninterrupted music, DS playing, possibly drawing or writing, staring wistfully out the window? Count me in!
I am concerned that I won't write while I'm down there, but I am at 38K, so theoretically even if I didn't write anything over the weekend I could still finish without dying of stress too much. I would rather get up to 43K (minimum) - 45K (ideal) by the end of Monday, though. :D
Watched a creepy and unsettling documentary on snuff films that KK linked me to. *Shudder* Of course, it was disturbing (especially conceptually--people seeking out graphic REAL murder videos?) even to my relatively imperturbable self and then I vowed to stay away from excessively morbid things for at least a day or two as a result, and yet, what am I doing? Instead of sleeping at 2:30 AM? Yep. Reading Wikipedia articles on creepy things. At least it won't mess with my sleep when it's just Wikipedia articles no matter how downright sick they are.
Did you guys hear about Sarah Palin doing an interview while turkeys were being slaughtered in the background? (I'm not even kidding--look it up on Youtube.) I just...can't even...articulate my thoughts on this.
"Hi I'm Sarah Palin and I'm going to ramble about inane shit while turkeys are killed and bled out in the background and even smile as it's happening and talk about how I'M in charge of the turkey for Thanksgiving this year! And this is when I'm pardoning a turkey as well! I'm sooo compassionate!"
That woman is the direct opposite of everything I stand for. She is the anti-Kristin, which is sort of like the anti-Christ but even worse because at least the anti-Christ is badass and interesting instead of... Animal-murdering, anti-choice, TAKE THE BIBLE LITERALLY, anti-sex education, pro-war, anti-environment, nonsense babbling, utterly annoying, hockey mom who gives her many children the dumbest names ever Sarah Palin. D: Seeing as I'm not big on the whole killing thing, I think she should just be exiled somewhere where they are no other living beings for her to mess with and given nothing but soggy vegetables and perhaps some blended aborted fetus to eat for the rest of her life.
Okay, I'm obviously in a weird mood.
I apologize for the lack of comments lately! I keep reading entries and then just leaving them open so I can comment on them later, and it generally takes me like...two days before I get sick of having the tab open and finally get my thoughts together in a more coherent state and write them down. I am reading everything and I definitely do care, I just...am weird and keep procrastinating on things that do not deserve to be procrastinated on. :< Sorry about that! I think half the time I want to write a comment but then I realize that what I want to say is vague and not conducive to words and really, really unhelpful and uninteresting. But you guys are all amazing and I adore you all a great deal, so don't feel unloved please.
