Not a lot to say about this--my dad and I went hiking over by the 49er Bridge, which is about fifteen minutes from our house. It's so pretty there. ♥

There's lots of cool rock art here--none of the rocks are glued or anything--they're just balanced there. Really awesome. There were a ton of these stacks all over the place.

Oh my god that is gorgeous. I would go there pretty much all the time, I think.

I know, isn't it? We go fairly often, though not nearly as much as we should, probably. :D

Wow, that's really pretty. I would love to take a sketchbook out there and sit on a rock near the water and sketch all day.

I love it there. ♥

Though I did bring a sketchbook and sit on a rock and draw there for an hour or two once...and I got over one hundred mosquito bites. D: So I'd have to reconsider that next time, haha.

Wowowowowow, you live near such a beautiful place. ♥ It's been a while since I've gone out of suburban/city areas and been to places like that. I'm jealous! XD

I know! My whole area is absolutely stunning. We're rural and don't have a whole lot to do some of the time, but the payoff is that we live in a really amazing place.

I hope you get a chance to trek into some wild areas soon! It's good for the soul. ;D

Uaaaaah, I miss having wild areas around where I live. At my parents' old house, there was a forest preserve right behind it that I used to play in all the time. :< Where I live now has nothing like that, at all. Well, there's this tiny park with a few trees and a bit of swamp, but it's not very exciting. (Although I caught a toad there once, that was fun...)

You're quite lucky about where you live. :3

I know, isn't that great? I love spontaneous acts of art like that, and there's so many little rock sculptures!

I hope you get to come back to nature soon. Nature > everything.

Wild areas are the best! Having a forest preserve behind your house must have been really nice.

I think I'm lucky to live here as well, though it can be a little isolating because there's not a lot going on in my town generally.

Thanks! And haha, sunsets always make the easiest picture targets because no matter how bad you are at photography they STILL look pretty. :D
