FAIL. Ryan I started watching funny YouTube videos, then somehow migrated to watching really, really bad Watership Down and The Plague Dogs AMVs. So, so, so bad. I thought maybe a half-hour had passed of us watching these awful and badly edited videos in search of even one decent one, but when I looked at the clock it was 9:38 PM so it had been an hour and a half or so.

As a result, I missed The Office! D: I'm quite unhappy about this. I hope it comes on NBC.com soon or I find a torrent of it or something. I was looking forward to it, too. :(

Reached over 10K last night on my novel, and I'm hoping to get to 12K before midnight. The writing is going a lot faster because I finally did the flashback of Riley's death, which allows for plenty of mourning, long sentences, and provides plenty of traumatic material to work with. For the record, he is run over by a semi truck in front of Mira, and I even did a little bit of research on the subject last night before I decided watching people getting run over and killed by trucks on YouTube wasn't really helping my writing all that much and was quite morbid.

So nervous about my Pokégrail. I really hope it works out. I lost an auction I was hoping to easily win last night of a pretty rare Eevee plush, but if I had kept bidding it would have been around $50 with everything for a small beanbag plush. It's probably for the best anyway--I should save my money for grail item.

EDIT: At 12K now. Mira is definitely not getting on the plane by 15K. Maybe 20-25K? Gah, I always end up expounding on everything so long that it takes me forever to get to the main plot. I'm getting closer, though! Flashback time is almost over.

OH YEAH. And is Mira short for "Miracle" by chance? I once worked with a girl who went by "Mira" whose full name was "Miracle" (her mom must have been shrooming), but let me tell you... She was as far from a miracle as they can get....

Yay, you win the prize! I have no idea what the prize is, but you win it anyway! \o/

Nah, it's just Mira, short for nothing. I don't know why, but it was the only name that clicked with her at all.

By the way, I signed up for Chem 1B today as well, so we'll definitely be in class together!

Ahhhaha nano. Aren't you going faster than you need to? Well, safety. Since last year I was writing up until the very last day and second, 12 AM. woohoo, extra insane boost of last nano stress.

I just lugged in a huge word count because I wrote it out of order for the first time. I wrote a "back up" ending in case I couldn't think of one. So weeeird, I never wrote out of order while doing nano. It feels like cheating, I don't think I'll do it again, plus I like having an in order story, no matter how finished it is by 50,000 words.

As for the research... XD morbid, kind of more so there is maybe a healthy (ha, IRONIC PUN) amount of choices of clips for that sort of thing?... oh Youtube...

Yes, I tend to write a little over a day ahead unless for some reason something comes up and I can't do my daily writing. I would actually love to do a writing spree one of these days and get myself two or three days ahead, but we'll see if that actually happens. XD

Writing out of order, eh? I haven't tried that yet because I suspect it would be a big disaster for me with plot holes everywhere. Especially because I don't do big outlines or a ton of planning before I write, and it tends to be little intricate things I don't plan at all that tend to be most important. That's interesting you did a back up ending, though--sounds kind of fun! If it gets words down, who cares if it's out of order, jumbled, confused, or anything else!

Yeah, it was rather morbid. I watched about four clips before I decided I didn't want to watch any more and that it was quite unpleasant. There didn't seem to be THAT many, but I can't say for sure as I didn't do a whole lot of digging. People post some weird stuff on Youtube, that's for sure. XD

You know, it always amazes me that you people can churn out so many words in such a relatively short time span. It usually takes me a while to write a story (instead of my opinions). I don't think I could ever become a novelist. *whatever happened to "YES WE CAN!"? but I'm being realistic here*

Keep it up!!! Come to think of it, 50K in a month is A LOT @___@

I seriously laughed out loud when I read that. Well, I'm glad you didn't do it. Things you can learn from youtube...

Haha, it's not as hard as it sounds! I can write out about 2000 words in under an hour if I'm really focused, and that's all you need to write daily to be ahead of schedule in NaNo. (The problem is, of course, keeping focused.) The thing with NaNoWriMo is that it's not about writing anything good, it's just about writing a first draft and getting far in your story.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! :)

I did actually watch about four of the videos but then I started feeling rather about it and decided not to watch any more.
