Summary of my novel so far:

"[Character does something such as pick up a camera] rambling rambling rambling rambling rambling rambling for like a thousand words [characters does something such as look out the window] rambling rambling rambling rambling rambling rambling forever and ever" repeat endlessly. It's like it takes me a thousand words to get her from three feet away in the hallway to inside her bedroom. Slight exaggeration, but only slight.

I like my prose a lot actually, but it kind of worries me how literally nothing is happening. There have been a total of three short lines of dialogue in over 4000 words, virtually no interaction between anyone and anyone else, so basically it's like... Ponder, Analyze, and Remember Everything Time. All the time. In 90% extremely long sentences. XD

It's a good thing the Literary Fiction forums exist or I would feel very strange and very alone in the way I tend to write.

Anyway, looking forward to things bleeding into unreality. You know what, to hell with reality. I'm starting unreality craziness now. It's as good a time as any and I'm going to fall asleep if I don't start making this transition soon.

Also, I've got stuff on Ebay. I doubt any of you would want my brother's old video games (or maybe you would, I don't know), but I've got an extremely lightly used DVD of The Place Promised in Our Early Days up for cheap. I got a second copy of it, so I figured I might as well sell off one of them: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/pacificpika_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ

I will ship internationally as well~

I bought an Eevee plush tonight that was probably a bit more than I should be spending currently, but it happens to be a super-rare adorable one that I've never ever seen for sale. Ever. So I just had to snag it. ;3;

I'm really looking forward to the election! Mom and I are going to an Election Night Party at the Miner's Foundry (which is a cool historical building downtown), which I think will be a lot of fun! ♥ Well, at least it will be if Obama wins. I can't say the same if McCain were to win on some fluke.

I also hope Proposition 2 passes. ;___; I hope everyone here who is Californian votes Yes on it! And No on 8 of course, but I don't think there's a single person on my friends list who would vote yes on that. Well, same to voting no on 2, but I figured I might as well bring it up anyway.

Back to noveling!

I'm kinda right there with you on NaNo. I did get more dialog in than you, but it's really... "okay flashback. Moar flashback. Can I has exposition?" and something's missing in the urgency department. When one is writing that Quest To Save Everyone one needs the protagonists to realize this is what's going on, you know?

Rewriting will help, but I don't have tiiiiime, lol.

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know I've friended you :) I'm here from the LJers forum post at NaNoWriMo, and I'm friending you based on the fact that baby-phobics are hard to come by. At least, where I live they are.

Yesh, lit fic = lav. ♥
I would have especially been lost my first year without it. I feel bad not doing it this year, but at the same time, I don't know what I would write. As for continuing where I left off last year, I really feel like my writing got worse as the story progresses, and I don't really have any motivation to write the baseball parts. (It is sad that I'd rather write the incest subtext that the parts that actually build on the basis of the story?)

Oooh, might buy that DVD. Now that I have my own bank account, I might make may own paypal...but I'm so bad with financial things, and I wouldn't want to screw it up...

Hello there! Nice to meet you, and I'll friend you back right now!

Wow, another baby-phobic? We are quite rare it seems, and it'll be really nice to have someone else on board who understands!

Best of luck on your novel, and I'm sure we'll be talking more soon!

Lit fic is the best! We're all crazy, but it's all good. XD

And haha, I know what you mean about writing weird subtext-y things than what the story is actually about. I loved my storyline last year, but I swear so much of the story was just the two lead male characters semi-flirting and having philosophical conversations.

I hope you find something to write about for next year, though!

You're welcome to snag the DVD if you'd like it! You have several days to pay so you'd have time to figure out Paypal. If you have a bank account, Paypal is pretty simple really--I use it constantly. And if you do buy it, I'll finally have to ship out all that stuff I owe you, LOL. XD

Hahaha, it would be nice if there was some more interaction and things besides flashbacks and slight movements from one place to another, wouldn't it?

Good luck! I'm sure it'll straighten itself out soon enough. Force it into action if you need to, as you can always add more transitory stuff later to make it make more sense.
