Aug. 28th, 2008 10:49 pmWhoooa I forgot SacAnime is this weekend. :O There's no way I can book a hotel room or anything, but I would like to go for at least most of the day or all of the day on Saturday. It's only an hour away, so there shouldn't be a problem... I'll talk to mom about it and maybe invite Makayla and Daniell. 8D I would have literally no spending money whatsoever, but that's okay! I just want to go for the fun of it, even though SacAnime's never been my favorite convention.
I feel bad because I feel like I can't go to conventions as much anymore. Mostly because of the cost, and I've been to enough conventions that I don't think it's necessary for me to go to EVERY CON IN CALIFORNIA, but I do miss the days when it was like, "Oh, there's a con? Where? I'm there!" Of course, I still go to around six or so conventions a year so I shouldn't be complaining, but it just feels like a financial and arrangement struggle for all of them. ;__; And then when I make a decision not to go to something, I feel bad about it...because I used to go to almost everything, and I know I'd have a fun time if I was able to go. Ah, I guess it's just part of life, though. Six or seven conventions a year is definitely plenty, especially because smaller conventions seem to have slightly less spirit than they used to.
I have no idea how I'm going to save up for YaoiCon in the next month, but it'll happen and it'll be fine. 8D I love Y-con (and this is almost entirely for non-yaoi reasons, for the record) and last year was SO. FREAKING. EPIC. and hilarity-filled. It's one of those conventions I look back on and just laugh and feel like it's the most awesome thing ever. Looking back on the pictures is just amazing. I didn't pre-reg for this year, but that shouldn't be a problem. Also I don't think I'll need spending money for that--last year I spent, what, $10? Or something? Anyway, I'm rooming with Nicole and Aubrey and they tend to cram people into the room so the room shouldn't be too bad either.
In other news, I have lots of homework and I'm still dead exhausted. At least now I have four days to spend working on homework and recuperating lost sleep.
Again, sorry if I'm not commenting or replying much--I don't have much energy because of school starting up and everything is rather chaotic at the moment.
