Jun. 19th, 2008 11:59 pmToday was DRAMA.
Well, okay, most of the day was fine and consisted of Ryan and I trying to beat each others' high scores on Winterbells. (He has 98,000 so far, which soundly beats my 77,000. :< I'll beat him tomorrow, though--just you wait!)
But then mom and I decided to take Hana and Tia for a walk in the park. No big deal, right? Well about five minutes into the walk, Hana got a foxtail up her nose and started sneezing violently, her nostril started bleeding, and she was frothing at the mouth because she was sneezing so hard. So, long story short, we had to drive her an hour to a twenty-four hour vet clinic for a foxtail extraction. At 9 PM. Thankfully the extraction itself wasn't too bad at all (I watched and helped), but there was one scary moment where I honestly thought she wasn't breathing from the sedative. She was actually breathing (albeit in a very shallow manner), and it was fine, but it was still a bit nerve-wracking. She's recovered now, though she's a little more sheepish than usual. Mom's working dayshift tomorrow, so I'll be watching her and Tia for the day.
Poor Hana has such bad luck--she also has a permanent eye injury from when she was a puppy, as a result of getting scratched in the eye by CC (my calico cat). It doesn't affect her sight very much at all, but it looks like a bubble on her eye's surface. It's rather strange. Thankfully it's been stable for a long time.
For those who don't know who Hana is/haven't seen pictures of her since she was a puppy (SEE ICON), here she is: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v389/pacificpikachu/?action=view¤t=Misc147.jpg/. She's my almost-two-year-old border collie who I love very dearly. ♥
LOL, when we stopped for gas on the way to the vet clinic (we had to wait a little while anyway for the vet to come back from stitching up a laceration on a horse), mom noticed this guy had an attachment on his motorcycle that had his two dogs in it. It was a pretty cool contraption--apparently he had made it himself. Naturally, she asked him about it, and somehow asking him about his dogs turned into a rather long preaching about whether she believes in Jesus and what God's true name is technically and a bunch of other stuff. *Rolls eyes* How it got from dogs to that in two or three minutes I honestly don't know.
I think that's about it. I still have so many comments to reply to--SORRY EVERYONE! :< And lots of anime to watch. But when don't I have lots of anime to watch? :D
Also, I need to remember to make the bird food for tomorrow sometime soon. And take Hana out before going to bed.
