TO-DO, turkey, and Gainax

pacificpikachuMADE NO PROGRESS ON BOOTA TODAY :( Mom brought me to Fabric Boutique TWO HOURS later than she said she would, and then Gaylene was working on wedding stuff and couldn't help me out.
Boota will be finished tomorrow, though. It WILL. And if not tomorrow, Thursday without a doubt. This costume is going to have to be freaking amazing because I'll be showing it off to Gainax themselves. S-so excited. *A* I hope they're impressed and charmed by it, hahaha.
I GOT ANOTHER WILD TURKEY
Someone called the raptor center claiming it was a turkey vulture, so...half-right, hahaha! Anyway, some of the raptor center volunteers brought it over, and it promptly escaped the box and went straight under their car. After about fifteen minutes of trying to get it out from under the car, chasing it under another car, and frantically preventing it from going into the bushes, we managed to snare it with a net just before it got into the street. Hahaha. Interesting end to the day. >__>
It's about twice the size of my current turkeys and was a bit panicked, but now that it's in with the other three turkeys, it's really happy and eating and drinking and having a grand time. It does mean I need a bigger cage for the little guys, though--I'll have to go pick up my gamebird cage from Janey tomorrow.
Densuke
- Fur ears, fill in little bald spots on head, put gray circle around eyes
- Buy red collar
- Re-spray-paint the lock so it looks presentable
- Paint the nose, affix to head
- Put elastic on gloves? Maybe?
- Find or buy boots to fur as hind paws
Boota
- Do...uh, the whole body
- Make sunglasses, affix them to costume face
- Spiral tail!
- Star butt!
- Nose!
- Don't forget the whiskers and "antennae"
- Squinty eyes underneath sunglasses?

(Anyone else want a drawing? It probably won't be anything impressive (if I can do one at all) due to all the rushing around, but if you'll be at Fanime and you want one, let me know! I prefer drawing animals/Pokémon because I'm better and faster at them, but I might be able to do some simpler human characters if you'd prefer.)
