Well, as it was yesterday, three of the four turkeys are doing great, and the fourth...not so much. I've been trying out every vet wrap arrangement I can think of, but it's all to no avail. I'm thinking about euthanizing the little guy, and I just e-mailed Janey about doing so. From what I can tell, it's the actual socket at the top of his leg that's to blame--according to several websites, there's nothing you can do about that. His leg is bent nearly straight out from the back of his body, and he can't walk at all no matter how I hobble him and support him.

That said, he's bright, alert, doesn't appear to be in pain, eats and drinks, and flails from place-to-place in the tank. He flaps his wings and scuttles along the bottom by basically flopping around, and it's so pitiful, but he does get where he wants to be. He can't stand up, though. The other turkeys trample him because they're not exactly the pinnacle of grace themselves, but all four of them sleep in a pile at night and he gets upset if I remove him from the others.

Even though it saddens me to say it, I think euthanizing him is probably in his best interest. Assuming he survives to adulthood, there's not really any way he could function and live a normal life--even if I were to keep him in the chicken coop or something. It's just... He can't walk, or stand up at all. A wild turkey can't live like that. It's getting harder to watch him flopping around, because even if he isn't in pain, his body is sort of useless.

Anyway, yeah. No one needs to apologize for the situation. It's just part of being a rehabber. It just gets hard to make these moral calls sometimes, though, you know? Especially when there's no visible signs of pain. I'm going to have to make them a lot as a vet, though.

In other news, I lost that other Poképlush lot I was bidding on. I'm not all that disappointed, though--quite frankly, I didn't want anything in it all that badly, and I was just planning on selling it for profit anyway. Because I'm a horrible person because I couldn't resist, I bought myself an 11" Eevee, though. Stupid auction rushes and their addictiveness. Ah, well. It's cute! And it's not like it was that expensive. XD LAST NON-COSPLAY PURCHASE BEFORE FANIME

I SWEAR THIS TIME

I actually made some progress on Densuke. By "some progress," I mean I cut out the eye holes. GO ME! WHY AM I SO AMAZING? LOLOL, I should at least try to get the ears on before tomorrow (which is absolutely, definitely 100% a cosplay workday), but it's probably too late tonight to do so.

I'm all inspired again to write bizarre, too-psychological-and-literary-for-its-own-good Pokémon fanfiction. I wonder how many of those I've started in the last eleven years. I don't want to know. It's somewhere in the hundreds. D: This newest one is brought to you by the word BULBOUS (of all things) and concerns the old rumor that you could find Mew under the truck in Vermilion where the SS Anne takes off. I-I don't even know. Might write it, though, along with a Suicune-centric fanfic I thought up a few months ago. Along with that old, weird Eevee one. Along with...oh, you get the idea. I don't know what it is that drives me to write these bizarro Pokémon fanfics. I suppose there's an audience for them, but it's VERY VERY VERY VERY small.

EDIT: Hahaha, I watched it late because I was at KK's house when it aired and we got so distracted by Princess Tutu that I forgot completely. >__>

The new character Holly is sweet, awww. I can't help but like her already. I hope she stays!

OMGWTF at...a lot of things in the episode. A LOT OF THINGS.

BAWWWWW at no Jim/Pam proposal. I somehow sort of suspected they'd pull something like that! And he spent all that money, too. :/

I was shocked by the Andy/Angela thing, and also sort of the Dwight/Angela thing. STORMY WEATHER AHEAD for both pairings. It'll be...uhhhh...interesting and hilarious to watch this work out, if nothing else.

I hope Michael dumps Jan's ass after that whole pregnancy thing. I mean, I realize he wants kids, but I'm not pleased with Jan (apparently) cheating on him, and her behavior towards him throughout more or less the whole series has been so rotten. I admit I felt a little sad when she was trying to put the statue back together in a previous episode, but... Holly is so much sweeter and goes so much better with Michael.

Anyway, done sounding like a fantard. *Flails*
