Apr. 22nd, 2008 10:12 pmTablet has arrived, along with a few other packages I was expecting! Unfortunately, it's at my dad's and I'm at my mom's, so I can't get acquainted with it quite yet. Any of you tablet-users have tips on using it, setting it up, etc? Even the most basic tips, tricks, suggestions, ideas, and so on would be appreciated, as I have no idea how it works. Let's hope I can get along with it with a minimal struggle.
Today was a rather nice day. :) Went to the post office and mailed the last of the packages from my last sales post (though another one is impending--probably tomorrow or Thursday), ordered the rest of the faux fur for Boota and Densuke (and there were PUPPIES at Fabric Boutique! So cute!), and went to Zoology, where I listened to various class presentations and looked at some specimens.
Hippo skulls are so awesome. Polar bear and leopard skulls are pretty amazing, too.
When I arrived at the Auburn bus station, a girl sat down next to me and we were approached by a guy asking where he could buy beer. While I don't support alcoholism, I felt the most polite thing I could do was give him directions to the closest market, so the girl and I did so. Then, randomly, he gave the girl a camera he had been carrying around, claiming he "was only going to lose it." LOL, WTF? After he left, the girl (who introduced herself as Nina) and I laughed about this a little, and attempted to decode the rather odd camera while we talked about what we do. She's a photographer and a nanny, so I thought it was funny that she was handed a camera by a random person. After a few minutes of polite conversation, Nina left because her ride arrived, but I looked down after she left and realized she had left her cell phone on the bench thing we were sitting on.
After some debate about what to do, I called the last number she dialed, who happened to be her mother. When my mom arrived, we got directions to Nina's grandmother's house to drop off the cell phone. It was a small gesture, but it felt good to return it. It was one of those phones that you can tell is well-loved; it had TONS of contacts in it and photos and custom ringtones and whatnot.
This entry is way more boring than I thought it would be, for some reason.
Whoa--the rest of Ghost Hound is out! I'd better go download it now. :D I'm curious about how it's going to end. I have a strange feeling that it's going to be one of those weird, unsatisfying endings, but I hope that isn't the case.
Man, I need to find time to watch more anime. There are SO MANY anime I want to check out this season (along with a gazillion other series from previous seasons), and I still haven't done so. .__. I need to do it so I can discuss with everyone!
Also, I really really really need to write my part of the Songbird class on Saturday so I can call Patty about it. >___>; Perhaps I'll do that tomorrow, as I get back from class at only about 3 PM.
It's going to be a very busy week/weekend.
