Boring entry.
Mar. 22nd, 2008 12:05 amI think I'm finally over my post-pillows gloom. My ears are better, too, thankfully.
Um. I have no idea why I'm posting, to be honest. I haven't posted lately, so I guess that's the only reason why.
I've basically done nothing productive all spring break, sob. I wish I had done more now, but it took me a while to recover from the concert enough to want to do anything, and now my break is almost over. How did that happen? D:
Right now I'm watching a German animated film called Felidae. I was looking up information on The Plague Dogs (one of my favorite non-anime animated movies) and someone recommended it, so I figured I should check it out. I have a strange obsession with old or foreign aimed-at-adults animated movies about animals. Particularly dark/violent ones. I have no idea why. I guess because I love animals, but I hate fluffy, saccharine Disney-style movies, and I'm a stickler for the animals acting at least somewhat like animals. Also, I've always preferred darker, heavier stories to light and entertaining ones. So...um, hopefully I'll like it!
Aubrey came over yesterday, with two new additions to my flock! One is a little black-tailed buff Japanese, and the other is a black hen (I'm not sure what type... Possibly part cochin?). I have to ask Ellary if they have names already. If they don't, they need names.
Somehow, the black hen and Silver ended up duking it out for longer than a usual pecking order match. I'm not sure why. They kept biting each others' beaks and then getting stuck like that--with their beak in the other hens' beak. Aubrey and I couldn't help but laugh a little bit. I stopped them when they started drawing blood, and had to take Silver inside to clean her up a bit. Chicken combs bleed really easily, though, so there was no serious harm done at all. Still, it was ridiculous.
Aubrey and I went inside once the hens had settled themselves, and somehow the two of us ended up spending several hours uploading things on DeviantArt. We came up with this great (and by great I mean extremely dumb but funny) idea to create this silly accounts where we favorite all the most random stuff we can find, and post nothing but the same stupid picture over and over again with only slight details changed. It'll be funnier when we implement said plan.
Anyway, I'm going to go watch Felidae now. I wish I had been able to find it in German with English subtitles, but...no such luck. I'll just have to settle for the dub. :/
I'm about 85-90% sure I'm watching all of Princess Tutu tomorrow.
