I woke up today to the lovely and refreshing sounds of A CHAINSAW RIGHT OUTSIDE MY ROOM (and my window was open, so it was super-loud) and then a wailing ambulance decided to join the cacophony. At that point I decided sleep was no longer something that would be allowed to occur, so I finally [reluctantly, of course] crawled out of bed.

For the record, the chainsaw was a handyman trimming the branches in the front yard. Not a psycho killer or anything. Still, it would have been nice if mom had warned me.

No lovebird yet. :( Elaine's mom is all upset about the fact that Elaine is giving the bird up, so she wants some time to say goodbye to him. I'll be getting him sometime within the next week, though. I'm already thinking of names. (His current name is Bean, which doesn't seem fitting to me for a colorful bird...) It turns out he's just a baby and they've had him for a mere four and a half months, so I'm hoping he'll be able to be trained out of his alleged screaming issues. I'M HOPING.

I still have so many anime to watch. I'm up with Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, though, and the first half of the second episode had me nearly in tears with laughter. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS SHOW? SOMETHING VERY SERIOUS, APPARENTLY. It's wonderful. :'D Commodore Perry/Goku. COMMODORE PERRY/GOKU. WTF?

I need to go back and rewatch the first half of Princess Tutu and then finish the series, and I'm also planning on starting Baccano! and Minami-ke. I have no idea why I decided I want to watch Minami-ke, as I know NOTHING about it, but I occasionally pick up series completely at random, and this is my latest victim. Anybody here seen it? I know it has some guy who likes fish in it or something, and that is the extent of my knowledge.

I also have a lot of other anime I need to watch, but I'm not in too big of a hurry to finish most of those, as they've been sitting dustily on my hard drive for a while and I will get to them...at some point.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on hanging out with KK and Ari for the whole day. I'm not entirely sure what we'll be doing exactly, but so far the plans involve hot tubs, going to the pet store to look at parrots, watching anime, and possibly other things. You never know. It'll probably be lots of fun regardless of what we do, though.

Had Zoology lab today! I love the teacher--she's so awesome. ♥ We spent a long time talking about two-headed animals and why that occurs and the results of it and such. It sounds weird, but it was actually really interesting. I can already tell I love this class. We get to go birdwatching for one of our labs! :DDD

I also said hello to the rattlesnake who lives in the Zoology room. I've decided he's my friend, and I go say hello to him before class every day, and he stares at me with his golden eyes and doesn't say anything in return. Today he and I were flicking our tongues at each other, though, so at least he responded to my presence. ;0; I was very moved by this, and I hope our friendship can continue to progress. [/dork]

For the record: Yes, he is alive, and yes, he is actually a real rattlesnake. And he lives in the Zoology room.

I'M ALL OBSESSED WITH CROWS AGAIN. Not that I ever wasn't, but...you know. More obsessed than usual. I want a pet crow. ;_;

EDIT: Oh, and I'm starting Mononoke soon, too. Not sure why I left it out. :(
