GUESS WHAT I JUST BOUGHT

PIKACHU DS PIKACHU DS PIKACHU DS LIMITED EDITION PIKACHU DS. AHHHH MY HARDCORE GEEKAGE HAS BEEN SATED FOR NOW. I was going to post pictures I found on the internet of the Pikachu DS (because it hasn't been released yet), but Photobucket is deceased at the moment and I'm too lazy to use anything else.

I've been waiting to buy this thing for months. I'm going to be filled with awe and joy when it arrives. It will have to be covered in nice protective things for me to play with it. XD

Anyway, uh, that was the splurge of the year. x_x

Got yet another scrub jay today. He looks to be pretty bright and perky, so hopefully no more sudden unexplained jay deaths.

Gonna go chain Vulpix now. Maybe.

Also, totally defriended all the NaruSasuNaru communities I'm a member of. Not that I don't love the pairing, but OMFG the fanbase for it seems like it's worse than ever now. I kept it on there in hopes that something would blow me away and make me want to keep the community in my friends, but no such luck. The fanfiction summaries were making me gag (made-up example: "LOLOL Sasuke is a vampire and Naruto is a fairy. Can they manage to fall madly in love and start a family despite their differences? AU, MPREG, NONCON, SHOTA", etc.) and SUPER-KAWAII-UKE-NARUTO makes me puke, thus scaring me away from about 90% of the fanart there. ._.; I s'pose I'll have to find my own nice NaruSasuNaru stuff. Just...not there.

...I agree about SasuNaruSasu. IT MAKES ME SO SAD. But there's nothing good. I just don't ship them like the majority of people do so finding good fic is really hard. Same for fanart. D: IT'S THEIR BOND I LOVE. NOT THE SEX THEY HAVE.

Same here! ;_; I can hardly even call it a pairing the way I ship it... I definitely believe there's a lot more to it than friendship, but it's sort of skewed, non-conventional, not the sort of thing that would cause them to be an actual couple necessarily. Almost a...bond too strong for them to handle? In a way?

I don't know. I have a pretty psychological, vague take on NaruSasuNaru, so it can be difficult to find 'fics and fanart how I like them. And it totally is about the bond, not sex or romance or any of the other silly things the NaruSasuNaru fandom seems to stick on to them. I wish there weren't so many delusional yaoi fangirls and young fans who have no grasp on character. ._.;

I recently found myself thinking that the fandom may have gotten a liiittle bit better though; we haven't had a "___ IS SEME" wank for quite a while now, thank goodness. x_x Small favors. Small small small favors.

This community you speak of sounds ripe with potential ANBU fics. Personally, I'd *love* to read that fic about Sasuke being a vampire and Naruto being a fairy. You should totally write it and submit it to that community! XD

Hmmm, it might be. I'll have to dig through it. I know I've found some embarrassingly bad fanart as of late, but most of the fanfiction lately hasn't been bad enough for it to be laughable. Just bad enough for it to be boring and kind of "...?"ish.

Here it is if you ever want to sift through it: sasuxnaru. There are certainly some gems in there somewhere--you just have to find them. XD
