Hmmmm, not too much to say at the moment. I'm watching Pale Cocoon finally. I just figured I should write something before midnight, so it's paused for now.

I've mostly just been hanging around the house, sleeping on and off, and taking care of animals. I think I caught a little virus or something, because I've been really sleepy the last few days and haven't been feeling the greatest. I haven't been feeling bad, either, but just a tiny bit under the weather.

Yesterday I opened the front door and discovered about twenty or thirty wild turkeys in the yard. They were so cute! It was a few mothers with nearly adult babies, I think. They got scared when they saw me open the door, so they all crossed the street--blocking a few cars. Haha, it was adorable. They took their time.

There are also quite a few quail on our property. My quail are doing pretty well, although out of fourteen, only eight are still alive. :/ It's been a rough season... I've had forty birds, and out of those, seventeen have died. For reference, last year I had thirty-one birds and only five died.

I'm determinedly trying to get the Pikachu Nintendo DS right now. I'm going to see if I can borrow some money from Dad to get it, but I don't know if he'll go for that. We'll see. I really want it, though, as my Poképark DS's hinge is broken and its screen is a little...eh.

VLC Player is being dysfunctional, meaning I haven't been able to get caught up on Bokurano, Darker than Black, and Romeo x Juliet. Whenever I try to open any of these files, VLC freezes. It's really annoying and I have no idea what's causing it. I tried uninstalling it and then installing it again, but still no luck.

Anyway, back to Pale Cocoon. Just thought I should write.

Have you tried switching to Media Player Classic and installing CCCP? :0

I've had both Media Player Classic and CCCP for a long time, but the problem is the subtitles on the .mkv files... Media Player Classic won't let me turn the subtitles on, or even recognize that they exist in the file. D:

Maybe I'll redownload CCCP, though.

I really don't know what triggered this all the sudden. One day, it was working great, the next it freezes every time I try to open anything. It's very odd.

Aww...feel better, and I hope your birds do better, too.

Have you tried The Core media player? It's compact, and I like to use it for all video files, and it works great for .mkvs.

I use GOM player now for most of my videos. It's a Korean player but there is an English version of it. If you can't find the install file on your own, I can send it to you after I get back from a convention this weekend. =)
