pacificpikachuOkay, it's partly about Pokémon. Just one paragraph.
I forgot to write about it, but Sunday we went down to Marin to visit my Grandma for Mother's Day. It went very well--we listened to tons of Yoko Kanno and Spitz on the way down--and I had fun discussing 4chan memes with my awesome cousins and playing Nanaca Crash! against them while we were there. If you haven't played Nanaca Crash! I highly recommend it. Google it. It's addictive and funny. On the way back, we listened to the NBA game on the radio (which gave me a headache, but my dad and brother are totally into it), so I played my DS the whole way back.
Today I got all obsessive over Pokémon again. Yes, again. XD I went and re-watched all the Japanese opening and ending themes, listened to the Perfect Theme collection for nearly the entire day, talked to people on instant messenger, traded with and attempted to battle (three times! kumori_kitsune, and got a legit Mew in exchange for my Mewtwo! I'm so excited. 8D It's definitely legit, too--I've checked it all out.
Then, as I was going over to my Mom's, I got a call from Jacqui about a baby crow! I wasn't planning on getting any birds until tomorrow, but Jacqui rushed over and brought me some supplies last minute, and how could I resist one of my favorite birds (who I have never had one of)? So, long story short, I have him in my room right now and he is downright ADORABLE. I mean, absolutely so cute. He's a nestling, but he's perching a little so I think he's verging on fledgling. I gave him some antibiotics, we don't really know his story, and he's so sleepy he doesn't particularly want to eat anything. Stressful day for the little guy. I'll work on rehydrating him and getting some food down him in the morning when he's not sticking his beak under his wing every time I try to give him anything.
As long as he makes it through the night (which I hope he does! He doesn't look bad), I'll try to post pictures tomorrow evening or the next day. He's sooooo cute.
