My sleeping in has gotten worse and worse. I slept until almost 1 PM this morning. o_o

Uh. Today I...er... watched Law & Order and Monster, and... Really, I have no idea where the day went. I don't remember doing anything other than watching Law & Order and Monster, but I only watched about four episodes of Monster and one episode of Law & Order, so it doesn't make sense for that to have been my whole day.

For the last two or so hours, I've been working on designing my Teto costume with the help of Nausicaa DVDs and manga. XD; I did a Teto drawing, a drawing of what I want the finished costume to look like, and a whole bunch of little detail "zoom-in" drawings. I made a materials list, started looking up prices on faux fur, wonderflex, and other stuff, and made some strategies to combat forseeable problems with the costume. I made a few patterns for the stripes and gloves, and...that's about it, I guess. I want to order the Wonderflex kind of soon and approach Gaylene about sewing the costume soon, though, so all this organizational stuff is awesome. I'm really, really looking forward to this costume--if it works out like I've planned it, it's going to be an uber-awesome cosplay. ♥ I'm going to get so much attention. XD;

I guess that's all for now. Erk. X_x;

Omg cosplay. I need to make a really really good one one day. I only cosplayed as Haruhi and it wasn't that wonderful of a costume. I want to be Naruto one day, despite looking nothing like him. :D

I ♥ cosplay!

Oh, don't worry--as you become more experienced with making costumes and such, they usually get better and better. At least, that's been my experience. :D I'm on my fourth costume (I only do one costume a year because my costumes are expensive and haaard work), and it's going to be leagues better than any of my other ones. You learn from previous experience what works and what doesn't, and slowly everything starts working out how you want it to.

And as for Naruto, you'd be amazed what a good wig and some contacts (and maybe a little well-applied make-up, as much as I despise the stuff) can do. One of my best friends, who has long blonde hair and doesn't look at all like the character normally, cosplays Faye Valentine and pulls it off amazingly well.

Good luck! If you'd like any tips or have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime. I love helping people with cosplay way too much. XD;

Well, my costume wasn't very complicated. XD I was Haruhi from Ouran, so I bought a blue blazer(I can't sew, so making one was kind of out of the question, considering it was slightly last minute), and made a patch thing. I didn't have the right tie, either. :P But yeah, I guess the only thing to make you good is to practice or spend ages and ages on a costume!

...But I have freckles everywhere. And glasses I can't take off. ;__; BUT AT THIS POINT, I DON'T CARE. XD I'd be doing it for me and to fool around and be IC everywhere. :D And of course I'd need a Sasuke, otherwise it's no fun! XD

Ooh, yay! I definitely will, thanks! :D I'm a cosplay n00b, anyways.

I can't sew, either, so I feel your pain! XD;; I have a seamstress I hire every year to do the sewing for me. She's really nice and awesome and loves doing the costumes. :D

Yeah, quality of cosplay seems to be inversely proportional to the amount of time you spend on said cosplay. It's completely worth every second when you put that costume on, though, and see the people start staring and requesting hugs and pictures~! ♥

Hey, you can cover up freckles with make-up of some sort--though it might take quite a while. Not sure what to do about the glasses if you can't wear contacts, but you can always just wear them around and take them off while you're posing for pictures. One of my friends does that. :D

GO YOU~! Cosplay is just meant to be fun anyway and I'm sure you'll have a blast. If you're going to a con, you'll find a Sasuke NO PROBLEM. Cons are usually crawling with Sasuke bunshins. XD; Either that or you can hire appoint a friend to be Sasuke. That would be even more fun!

Oh, please do ask any time! I LOVE helping people with cosplay. Few things get me more excited. XD

I should do that! My friend's mother sows but she swore she'd stop after she made her a first cosplay. XD Maaaybe if I pay her well. Cause she's really good!

Yeah, I bet! It made me happy to get asked for hugs with my cheap one. XD

It would be hard. But I really want to try! And actually, I have a friend who says she'll do it. THAT'S GOOD. Won't have to pose with strangers. I'M STILL A BIT SHY AT CONS D:

Sounds like you've got a great deal going for you all around!

Aw, you don't need to be shy at cons! Everyone's so friendly! :3
