I finished Beck four hours ago, and now after studying my precise reactions are fuzzy and confused, but...uh...

Aw, I definitely enjoyed it! There were quite a few things objectively that were flawed, but whatever it lacked in technical things, it definitely made up for in feeling. And boy, did it have a lot of feeling. It had a very peculiar, emotional energy in my opinion--raw, almost. Episode twenty-four was just amazing. When it came to that episode, I just BLASTED the whole concert and had one hell of an awesome time. It was a very uplifting show. There were a lot of moments where I was just like "Oh--wow! Awesome scene!" I enjoyed the parts about the classic rock stars picking up after the show particularly, for some reason. I thought that dream was so weird, but it made it sense enough at the end. XD;

One of my other favorite parts was the relationship between Koyuki and Maho. For some reason I became particularly attached to Maho as a character and kept freaking out whenever it appeared one wasn't going to end up with the other. I mean, I knew they'd end up together, but...uh, yeah. It was just kind of frustrating, especially with all these females popping up in Koyuki's life. I really liked how Koyuki and Maho interacted, though--because they seemed to have this natural relationship that just sort of happened, but it seemed realistic in the way it was portrayed. The part where Maho slept in Koyuki's bed, and then later on she admitted she couldn't sleep near him because she was too nervous really got me for some reason. Probably because I can remember a couple of similar situations with myself.

The subplots/conflict with Ryuusuke and...uh...my brain is dead and I can't remember his name, but the original owner of Beck and Lucille were kind of garbled and felt a little unnecessary, but overall they weren't bad. It did give the series a slightly more sinister undertone, and it was interesting, anyway.

The Engrish kind of bothered me all the way through, but...eh, I could live with it. XD;

On the exceedingly shallow side, I was disappointed that Taira didn't have much of a personality. Because he was pretty. XD;;

I freaked out when the Pillows were in episode 26. I pointed at Sawao and started screaming at the screen. XD;; I was like "OMG! SAWAO! SAWAO, I HAVE TOUCHED YOU, AND YOU ARE IN AN ANIME! OMG I HAVE SEEN YOUR BOXERS BEFORE and I have blurry pictures to prove it!" Yeah, dorky. But I was hyped up to begin with and couldn't resist.

Um, wow. This is a pathetic review, and it just keeps degenerating. Maybe I'll give a better one someday. XD;; Sorry--I can't remember anything now, and I have a headache, so typing sensically is nearly impossible! Suffice to say, I enjoyed Beck a lot--and those of you who are interested in music/musicians should absolutely check it out. Good show.
