I have no idea why, but I suddenly got the urge to make a list of all the birds I've had so far, even if I only had them for a short while. It's not that long yet, but...I want to keep track for when I have had tons. ^^;

Season 1- Summer 2006

R = Released
D = Dead
T = Transferred to another rehabber
Left blank = I have it or it's in the flight cage

6 scrub jays (R)
3 stellar's jays (R)
3 black-capped chickadees (1 dead, 2 released)
2 blackbirds (R)
1 killdeer (T)
1 california quail (D)
2 goldfinches (R)
2 grosbeaks (D)
1 mockingbird (R)
2 red house finches (R)
1 house sparrow (T)
1 bewick's wren (R)
4 american robins (R)
1 mourning dove (R)

Total: 30 birds.

Well, that's all so far.

Season 2 - Summer 2007
6 stellar's jays (still with me)
1 scrub jay (still with me)
1 california quail (still with me)
1 mourning dove (D)
1 northern flicker (D)
1 american crow (R)
1 yellow-billed magpie (R)
1 black-headed grosbeak

Yay! This can be your master list, or something. XD Can you not tell the mystery bird because it's too young?

It's generic-looking, I guess you could say. We thought it was a swallow for a while, but now it definitely isn't. It's brown with a white and brown spotted belly and a thick beak. I really do think it might be a house finch, but we'll see. It doesn't help that he's really quiet--a good indicator of what a baby bird is is the sound it makes. He just sits there and eats what I give him like a good baby.

It's only about a week and a half old, though.
