Bwahahaha---cosplay madness!
Apr. 14th, 2006 05:33 pmOkay, not yet...but very soon.
Dad ended up wanting to go to Ben Franklin (for his frame obsession, as per usual), so I decided to get some stuff together for the head part of my costume while we were there.
And by "some stuff" I mean I shopped in there for over an hour and Dad bought me $40 worth of totally random supplies with which to sculpt myself this dog head. So, that might be my goal for the night. Wish me luck--I'm definitely going to need it. You should see all the stuff we got--it's crazy. XD I can't wait to go all nuts trying to figure everything out. I love cosplay madness. I swear, they should make it an official mental illness.
Afterwards, we did more insane things. Like, I went to Fabric Boutique to check with Gaylene (my seamstress) about some costume-related things. Unfortunately, we had to wait for about a half-hour in the fabric store because Gaylene was helping this really high-maintenance guy who kept insisting on things being absolutely perfect on whatever it was she was making him. Dad was so bored in the fabric store...it was amusing. He was trying get a scratch off the table by scratching at it. Uh...okay, Dad. O_o;
Then we went to two different Dollar Stores and the pet store. We didn't find anything we needed at the first Dollar Store, but at the second one I bought three little weird cage things intended for bugs (but I might use them for baby birds or something) and...glowsticks. Lots and lots and lots of glowsticks. I plan on using them for the concert at Fanime. :D The pet store basically just consisted of me squealing over every animal in the entire store (yes, snakes and tarantulas and such are no exception) and Dad and I debating over whether we should buy Zephyr any new toys (we decided against it, eventually).
Anyway, the weather is really nice and I'm in a good mood because I'm thoroughly absorbed in my distractions. So, as far as my coping stage is concerned, I suppose this would be a higher point. I'm doing okay at the moment.
