Just got back from Howl's Moving Castle for the second time in two days. Go me! XD; Again, it was quite fun to watch, although our ranks had dwindled from last night. This time, we only had myself, Cody, Makayla, Nicole, Nolan, [a surprise appearance from] Bee, Bee's little sister Stacey, and Cody's mom, so we had less influence over the audience this time.
Before the movie started, I got in a conversation with one of the guys at the theater, who apparently likes anime like Cowboy Bebop and Princess Mononoke (a good start, if I do say so myself). He noticed my Fullmetal Alchemist shirt, so he was telling me that he heard about it the other day. The only reason I'm writing about this conversation at all is that I thought what he heard was funny: "I heard it's about this short guy who is totally hardcore but runs from all his fights, and then wins by screwing things up." XD; So, um, I had to give him a more accurate description of the plot.
The lady there was also talking with us, and saying how she could only watch half of Princess Mononoke because it's so violent. This was kind of funny to hear...just because I've gotten so used to the violence in anime that I don't even question it, really. It's become part of the storytelling to me.
Unfortunately, the audience tonight was boring. Last night there was squealing, applause at the Ghibli logo, lots of laughter, and all-out enthusiasm of every sort. (The people working at the theater even commented when I came in to the theater tonight that my group of friends made the movie more fun by being so enthused about it.) Tonight, there seemed to be little response from anyone at all, and my friends and I even had to start up the applause at the end by ourselves. *Rolls eyes* At least we got to watch Bee and Stacey giggling like mad when Howl first appeared. X3
Nolan also claimed he eloped with Howl in Vegas.
Cody and I ate Skittles for the entire latter half of the movie.
...That's about all I wanted to say. *Sigh* Have to go to school tomorrow, so despite the fact I'm all ready to do stuff now, I have to go to bed soon. And here I wanted to practice drawing Naruto and Sasuke more, too. T_T
