Today's the day!
Jun. 30th, 2005 10:21 amI actually wanted to write an entry directly before we left so I could say something brief like "We're off!" but I'm so busy I'm kind of afraid I won't get the chance. So I'm just writing now.
Get this--there was a mountain lion either on our property or somewhere near it this morning at 4:30 AM. Lily started making this weird growl that we've never heard her make before, and then this weird, otherworldly sounding screaming started for a while. I can't really say much because I was fast asleep, but Ryan said it sounded like a woman screaming, except sort of alien. I think it's awesome that there was a mountain lion around, although now I'm a little nervous about Lily and the cats. Luckily the chicken coop is now impossible to infiltrate, and the horses and burro are big enough that they should be fine. I hope Lily and the cats will be okay, though...
Zoe's supposed to get here in the next half-hour or so. I have all sorts of things prepared for the car ride, like paper for drawing on, big paper to make signs with, my DVD player (and DVDs and AMVs), tons of CDs, etc. It's going to be a long ride.
No entries for 4-5 days now. I was going to leave you all with a cruddy, five second drawing of Sasuke (possibly crossdressing unhappily XD) holding up a sign that said "At AX!" or something, but I've since discovered that MS Paint is missing on my computer for whatever reason. O_o; I could do it on Photoshop, I suppose, but that kind of ruins the effect. XD
Well, I have to reply to Cody's e-mail from Spain before Mom starts telling me to get off the computer, so I'd better be going. :)
I can't wait!
