Today kind of flip-flopped around a lot. I never did anything of consequence, but now I'm feeling enlightened and I wish to do something helpful. Okay, I think I'll just log my day first. I feel insecure if I don't. XD

Let's see... I woke up, and... I don't know, come to think of it. At any rate, we ended up driving out to Jake's house, where Mom and I took Tia and Lily for a long walk while Ryan, Jake, and Jake's siblings jumped on the trampoline. The walk was nice, although a little sad because we knew this was the last time we would get to take Tia on a walk. ;_; She was pretty good, and we even let her off the leash and let her roam around.

In the car ride from Jake's back home, I watched Loveless and had a good time doing this. :P

As a final act of silliness, while we were riding back home with some groceries in the car, Tia got ahold of some frozen Ziti noodles and ate them all out of the box. XD;; Rather entertaining.

So...when we got home, Mom called Mark (a fellow volunteer), who had previously said he would drive Tia to her new foster home.

...Wait, maybe I should back up first and explain the situation with Tia to those who aren't familiar with the story.

Tia is our foster dog (a six-year-old black lab mix), who we had for more than a year because we couldn't seem to find her a home. We seriously considered keeping her, but because she attacked our landlord's dog, he said we weren't allowed to keep her past June 15th. Our landlord is a really nice guy, he just doesn't want his dog to get hurt again. So, after a long process, we finally found her a new foster home, which is where she went today. This was pretty upsetting for my family, as we've gotten very attached to Tia. So...we've been a little downbeat all day, in short. Mom's pretty upset.

The house seems really quiet without her. ;_;

Anyway, Ryan went to Jake's house to spend the night, and Mom and I were going to eat at Wonderful III (a local Chinese restaurant that's really good), but Mom didn't feel like it so we ended up sitting around at home doing nothing. It's been raining for about half of the day, even though it's June and it's not supposed to be raining... O_o;

Well, I watched random fight scenes from Naruto to keep myself amused. Most notably, the cool Sasuke vs Orochimaru one from episode 30. After that...meh...I channel-surfed, and ended up finding and watching the movie Pay It Forward. I had seen it before, but I think I forgot just how good of a movie it is. It's really inspiring, though the ending is sad. I'm almost tempted to start a real Pay It Forward movement. Just to see what happens. ^^;;

It's getting late to a point where I'm almost going to teeter into my "mentally unstable" realm of sleeplessness. XD I almost feel like going all philosophical, but I won't. I don't think I could actually write something deep or meaningful in the context of a journal. I save all the profound thoughts for creative pursuits. I'm going to have to force myself to write at some point, because now I don't have the deadlines of my Creative Writing class to force me into it. Darn. I think secretly, deep down...I liked the deadlines. *Gasp* Okay, now you've heard my secret. Just don't tell anyone I said that.

I feel like writing a story now. Except it's midnight. Not that it matters--it's summer anyway--but I don't want to have to sleep in for too long. -_- Oh, and I have no ideas right now.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my Mom, brother, and I preregistered for Anime Expo today! I'm so excited. :D It'll be so much fun. ALL of Sunday is going to be devoted to standing in Maaya Sakamoto-related lines, I think. I'm also happy that I'm going to get to see Tomokazu Seki and Range Murata again! YAY! Now Hitomi AND Van will be at AX. ^_^ They should do a panel together.

Oh, and random troubleshooting-type thing. My Internet has decided it hates me. When I click on the browser, it only displays the Properties, no matter what I do. WTF? o_o It's been like this for about two weeks, too.

I also can't seem to figure out how to charge the rechargable batteries for my portable DVD player. I've tried it three or four different ways so far, and none of them have worked. Oh well, I'm sure Dad'll be able to help. And if that fails, I could always ask Cody... He's good with these types of things. Everything else about the DVD player works, though. :)

I'm going to go pretend I'm doing something artistic for approximately five minutes and then probably go to sleep. Go me.

This post seems kind of scatterbrained. I feel kind of scatterbrained.
