Wooo! Much Naruto!
Apr. 17th, 2005 11:49 amI've been fiddling with the layout. What do you think? Tell me if the picture looks blurry or whatever, because on Nicole's computer it looked weird. O_o; Also, the font is supposed to be Papyrus, but it wasn't on Nicole's computer, either. It is on mine, though. Hmmmm. I also hope the font isn't too small... I've been trying to work out all the kinks.
Yesterday, I went over to Nicole's from 2 PM 'til 11 PM. During that time, we did very little that didn't relate to Naruto. ^^;;
First off, we spent copious amounts of time looking at Naruto fanart. Several hours, at least. Not much to report on that--it's just awesome fanart is all, and much of it is very amusing.
Then, we watched Naruto episodes 88-101. That's fourteen episodes! :O Ryan didn't want us watching past where he was, but we couldn't stop once we got to 96 (which was where I was previously), so we kept going.
OMG! The episodes made me so happy and obsessive! Let's see if I can put commentary on each of the episodes without being spoilerific. ^^;;
97 was amusing, and Naruto looked so darn cute in it. ^^;; It was kind of funny how long his hair stayed flat after he was in the hot spring. And Jiraiya...hahaha...he's shameless. Poor guy at the end, though. He didn't get what he wanted so badly. ^^;;
98 made me much too happy because we got to see everyone again! Nicole and I started cheering when Shikamaru came on screen. XD We cheered at seeing a lot of the other characters, too. I missed them so. ;_;
And, OMFG, I can't believe it, but I've warmed up a bit to SasukexSakura, at least as the one-sidedness as it is. :O When Sasuke woke up and Sakura hugged him and was crying, I just went, "Awwwwwww..." and felt so awful for Sakura. I still don't like the ship as a two-sided thing, but as a one-sided it now has some respect from me. I've also gained a new respect for Sakura. Is it just me, or has she changed in the episodes since we've seen her? She seems sweeter, more devoted, more conscious of other people's problems. I found that scene where she went to see Lee and she brought him the bouquet flowers, so sweet. I like LeexSakura. ;_; And it was so sweet how she reacted when Lee fell on her. Awww.
I was amazed that she brought Sasuke flowers every day. o_o I think I totally underestimated her devotion to him.
As Nicole was saying, "Ino must be rich by now with all the flowers Sakura buys." XD;
Episodes 99 and 100...I can only say this: POOR LEE-KUN! ;_; Wahhh. Gai-sensei is so great, too. He's like a parent to poor Lee. And I couldn't believe that he promised he'd die, too, if Lee dies. Is that man incredible, or what?
Tsunade is already making such a great Hokage, although I had my minor doubts. Her sudden devotion to curing Lee was so wonderful...
It was sweet how Konohamaru is still holding on to the Third being Hokage. ^^;; Poor little guy.
And 101... *LMAO* What can I say about 101?
First off, I couldn't help but squee a bunch over Sasuke in this episode. It was cute seeing him act, at least a little, like the 12-year-old boy he is. XD
This episode made Nicole and I dissolve into laughter so many time I could never even count them all. I swear, the writers must've been on something when they made this episode. XD;; What was up with the bird, and the horse? And, seriously, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke plotting to get Kakashi's mask off was just... *ROFL* I loved the hot springs part (and not *just* because we got to see the pretty boys shirtless, though that was part of it ^^;;).
The ending of this episode was brilliant. XD Everyone should see this episode. It's so insane.
Then Mom picked Ryan and I up, we went to Ralph's shopping for a while, went home, watched Naruto opening and ending themes 'til midnight, went to bed, woke up in the morning, and we watched episodes 97-100 (Ryan hadn't seen them yet). He still has to see 101, though.
And...um...here I am. Nicole was going to come over today, but she forgot that Emmy invited her to a party today, so she canceled. :( I should go to seamstresses and try to get my costume started today.
It sounds, based off this LiveJournal, like my life now revolves around Naruto, doesn't it? Don't worry, my life doesn't really revolve around Naruto. ^^;; It more revolves around anime in general (Pokémon, Wolf's Rain, and Cowboy Bebop in particular.) Naruto is just...really, really good. And this comes from someone who is extremely skeptical of mass-produced, long-running series. Anyway, I must be off. Ryan wants to use the phone and I'm on dial-up here.
