Gomen about not writing over the past two days. On Thursday, I went all crazy and tried to write for almost the entire day.

First, I started writing about a rabbit. I proceeded to do this for about an hour and a half until I realized I had no idea where the story was going (and it didn't seem to be going anywhere at all).

So, I gave up on that story.

After that, I started writing about a raccoon, and I got a page and a half on that (about two hours of work @_@) before I realized that was incredibly plotless, too.

By then, it was bedtime, but I wanted to try one more attempt at writing.

Normally, I'll only write on computers because on paper I'm such an eraseaholic, but I decided to take out a pad of paper and see if that did the trick.

Well, what do you know...it worked. Suddenly I went off on a crazy writing spree and handwrote about six pages (my handwriting is tiny, as TRF-Chan can testify to ^^;;) before I finally forced myself to quit and go to sleep. It was almost midnight at that point. I spent a lot of the next day at school writing the story, too, so now it's about nine handwritten pages and almost done. I like the story's plot (yet another tragedy with a twist ending), but it's not well-written. This is all right, because that's kind of what I was going for.

Yesterday after school, we went to get the doves. Mom wanted to get only one pair, but I talked her into letting me get two. It was awesome, because the people we got them from were so cool. They're elderly, and they used to have pet raccoons, skunks, coyotes, hawks, and all sorts of other animals. It was awesome, because they were telling us stories about the different animals, and talking about the behavior of the doves and such.

I had them in the gold cage last night, because I decided putting them in the chicken coop right away probably isn't a good idea. At first we had them all on the deck, but Tia kept freaking out because she wanted to knock the cage over, so before bed I moved the cage and stand into the dog kennel so Tia could roam the propery as she wished without disturbing the doves. We covered them so they wouldn't get dew on them, but it's cool, because doves can handle any temperatures here outside. So, even if it was snowing and freezing, they can still be outside because they're adapted to this kind of environment. Their coos are so pretty. ^^

This morning I woke up, watched Pokémon as always (awww...Bulbasaur friendship -^^-), and decided to put the dove cage and stand in the chicken coop, open the door, and see what happened.

They eventually came out, and Ryan and I were holding them because they're quite tame. Now they're in the chicken coop on the perches, just hanging out.

I haven't totally figured out which one is which (it's hard to tell their genders and such just by looking at them), but Claus is a little scruffier and more outgoing than the others, so I have him figured out. I'm still sorting out the other three.

I'm going over to Nicole's today and we're going to...guess what? Watch anime. That was a hard one, wasn't it? :P I might spend the night, but I might not (even though I'm seventeen, my Mom doesn't want me staying at people's houses without an adult there (Nicole's mom is out of town), just because she's paranoid someone's going to kidnap us or something), and then she's coming over to my house tomorrow. ^^;;

I was maaad at Mom's DVD players last night. I was trying to watch either Nausicaa, The Cat Returns, or Porco Rosso (I still haven't gotten to watch them), but one of the DVD players was freaking out and playing it with inverted colors, and the other wouldn't let me choose the language or the subtitles because it wasn't displaying the selector on the menu. >< So I still haven't watched them. ><;;; I could've watched them on the computer, but I hate watching anime on computers (hence why I want to burn all my Naruto episodes to DVDs).

Instead, I took some Wolf's Rain screenshots from episode 23, and then I went online and started saving Naruto fanarts. (I'm afraid again for my sanity, because a few too many of them for comfort were SasukexNaruto. But we'll pretend they weren't, okay?) I've discovered I'm very tolerant of most Naruto ships, the exceptions being the usual exceptions--no HUGE age differences (Ugh...KakashixSakura? KakashixSasuke? NO...), no incest, and no...ships that the canon blatantly denies (all right...who came up with OrochimaruxKakashi?!).

Speaking of DVDs, Dad's DVD burner isn't working now. ><

Well, I'd better go. I have to do pet-chores before I can go to Nicole's.
