I tried to write an entry last night after I got home from Pizza and Song, but after I wrote about four pages the computer completely flipped and neither the mouse or keyboard worked. >< I tried to fix it until about 11 PM, which was when I decided I needed to go to sleep.
Excuse me, because now I'm a little mad because Mom insisted on using the computer today for hours when I was supposed to be writing my essay for English. Then she got totally mad at me because I kept asking her to get off the computer so I could do my *homework*. Not like what she was doing was more important than this huge essay for English... >< Grrr. Why couldn't she have done it tomorrow? And then she decided to punish me by telling me I can't write on my LiveJournal tonight, which makes me even angrier because I have a whole list of things I want to write about. Let's see how far I can get without her kicking me off.
Um...I still haven't written that ghostwriting thing for Creative Writing, so I'm guilty. I'll write it eventually, I suppose... But I already spent two hours writing that darn essay, and our printer currently isn't working, so I have to e-mail it to myself and print it in first period tomorrow, but my Yahoo account isn't working either. ~_~ At least that gives me an excuse to write in this.
Let's see... yesterday pretty much rocked.
First period yesterday, I believe I spent much of it talking to an amused Rae about how much I don't like that random lady wearing green in Wolf's Rain (the one who randomly walks past the camera in episodes 23-27, and in the beginning of 27 she's one of the people who gets machine-gunned down. That was kind of satisfying, actually. ^^;;) It was sort of funny, because I think I'm one of the few people who even noticed her, much less formed an opinion on her.
Mr. Ostrom assigned us an interview we have to do of two people who lived in the 1930's. While both of my grandmas were alive in the 1930's, there's a whole big list and therefore it's going to be annoying. So much for no homework over break... -_-
In Anatomy, Erin and I munched on nori maki again. It was funny to us, because Mr. Larsen hates it when people eat in his class, and he caught one of the guys in our class trying to eat a sandwich and started chewing him out and yelling at him and everything. Erin and I continued eating our nori maki, completely unnoticed and smiling sadistically. We're just sneaky like that.
In my TA period, Angela, Rory, and I had to sort the iFlurtz (the results just came in). There were several thousand of them, so this was much more of a task than you'd think it would be. It got extremely frustrated because we'd think we had them sorted, and it would turn out they completely weren't. However, we did discover that all of our fake names went through, so now tons of people are going to get anime characters on their iFlurtz results! Go us. Even Rory's fictional "Chewbacca Smith" ended up on someone's list. XDDD
Other people got into the spirit, too, and had created weird ones. Among the ones we found were "George Bush", "OJ Simpson", and several names that consisted only of random letters. I know I'm forgetting some...
Lunch was normal...
So was Trig.
In English, we read a Hemingway story called Hills Like White Elephants. I actually kind of enjoyed it. o_o It was better than most of his stories, in my opinion.
Our English final is going to be SO much fun. It's HUGE and it's going to be totally time-consuming, but it'll be awesome. It's called "Song of Myself", and it's where we basically summarize ourselves using exhausting amounts of our own poetry, poetry we like, songs we like, artwork, collages, reflective journal entries, stories, etc., all arranged in a way that is personal to yourself (such as: put in a journal, a box, a sculpture, etc.) We're going to have about two months to complete it, and I'm already jazzed up even though the project hasn't even started yet. Trust me, I'll spare you the details because I know I'll write about it in the future. We saw a bunch of examples today, which just got me even more enthusiastic.
I went to Cody's after school, and we dropped by his Mom's work quickly (and got some candy out of the deal), and then went and had fun just hanging around his house. We played with Boots (who has gotten much bigger ^^), watched episode five of Infinite Ryvius (nice to watch again, as I haven't seen it in a while). After episode five ended, I showed Cody Ryvuis: Illusion on the extras. We laughed a lot at the cute chibi antics and incredible funniness, and decided it should be a mandatory part of all anime. Little chibi-antic mini-series, that is. -^^-
Cody also showed me an RPG he's playing online. He somehow rigged a code so that his character runs around the little world begging for money regardless of whether Cody is on the computer or not. In other words, as long as his computer is on, the character makes money for him. And to top it off, his character has a funny hat. ^^ His character made him $10,000+ the day before, and yesterday it made him $7,000+. He was also harrassing random ravens he found and riding his horse indoors, but that's beside the point.
At around 4 PM-ish, we went to Pizza and Song at the local Round Table Pizza. I'm not going to go through it all, because I'm not supposed to be writing in this anyway, so I'll bullet down some highlights.
- Two of the choir guys sang the Aladdin song "A Whole New World" together. This was endlessly hysterical, because the guy who was doing the female part is a bass. XD They sounded awful and wonderful and it was all terribly funny. The entire audience was in hysterics.
- One of the girls in choir has a little brother who volunteered to blatantly crossdress for their act. He was clad in gallons of sparkling make-up, a glittery dress, huge rings on his fingers, a boa, and it was funny/disturbing. The song they sang (I have no idea what it was) somehow managed to be more frightening than the little boy in the dress. O_o;
- Makayla and I kept bringing up Naruto at random intervals. Makayla, for some odd reason, would not stop talking about Lee naked and Lee/Sasuke pairing and how wrong both of those things were. o_o; We also thought we should go up and sing "GO!!!", but decided against it for a plethora of reasons.
- I kept poking people, so Nicole attacked me and kept tickling me, and so did Makayla. It was painful, because I curl up and can't breathe when people tickle me. ^^;; They kept attacking me during people's acts, too, so I kept having to attempt to "Shhh!" them while they were tickling me, because by tickling me they were causing the noise.
- Cody and John did a duet of Sounds of Silence, which was awesome. Cody forgot the words at one point, but other than that it sounded great. Nicole was also in a good act with Kirstin and Gretchen.
- Guys kept walking past the girls' acts and singing the female parts. o_O; I don't know why they wanted to sing that high, but whatever floats their boat, I guess. ^^;;
- A guy there recognized the Naruto headband and whiskers on me, and was talking to us about anime for a while. Apparently, his roommate is totally obsessed (like us), so he gets to see all sorts of anime. He said it was cool to meet other people who know all about anime, and don't think all anime is like DBZ. He likes Miyazaki movies and such. It's always fun to meet other anime fans.
- Teddy sang about Spam.
The place was SO crowded. The local Round Table is small, and there were, I'd say, at least three hundred people there. It was awesome! I kept mooching off of other people's food, which I suppose is okay because I always feed everyone with my food. ^^ Lots of Cody's pizza and Makayla's garlic twists.
After all the acts finished, Cody gave Makayla and I a ride home at about 8:50 PM.
Let's see...what happened today? Not that much...
First period...uneventful.
Second...watched a movie. Talked a little about politicians. Overall not too exciting.
Third...normal.
Fourth...normal. I stole an umbrella out of the lost and found because mine is stupid and flimsy. A guy asked about my headband, like this:
Guy: "Is that for a club or something?"
Me: "It's from an anime called Naruto."
Guy: "Like Star Trek?"
Me: "WTF? No." O_o
Guy: "Oh, like Star Wars?"
Me: "No, you've got it all wrong. It has nothing to do with Star Trek or Star Wars. I don't even like Star Trek or Star Wars..." o_o;;
At that point I was going to explain it was about ninjas, but he left. ._.;
Lunch...other than giving Cody food and following him around (James found the student information on everyone in concert choir, and was attempting unsuccessfully to use this to his advantage), not much. Nicole disappeared partway through lunch. Jesse was wearing a bright green wig for unknown reasons.
Trig, normal.
English...some of Mr. Cartan's students from last year showed us their "Song of Myself" projects, which were all extremely impressive. They all talked about how affecting and fun the project was, and I got all ambitious and fired up. During this point, the PA clicked on and announced that we would be having severe weather conditions, and just about then there was a loud crack of thunder and hail started pouring down.
It's been pouring now for about three days straight. Funny, because February was like summer. Of course, I've been in my usual shorts-and-a-t-shirt, which attracts lots of "You're crazy!"s and such. Funfun. I put Kenshin and Saikano pins on my Love bag, so now it looks pretty. :D
I had the first Anime Club meeting in a while after school. The weather was crazy getting down to G-wing, and it was hailing and I was sopped and felt like a drowned rat, and thus the guys in the Anime Club decided I was "hardcore" because of my shorts and t-shirt and all. We didn't do much in Anime Club... I spent a lot of time yelling about Naruto and being enthusiastic and opinionated, but I was the only girl this time and we ended up watched Dirty Pair. Dubbed. I kept wanting to rip my ears out because it was so disgustingly high-pitched.
I continue to be amazed at how much respect I get there. If anyone else talks, they get ignored usually, but if I talk everyone shuts up and listens intently. It might be because I'm loud and know more about anime than the rest of them put together (and I can be rather take-charge), but it's still kind of funny because it was all these guys with me bossing them around and arguing with them about what good anime is.
Ummm...I'd better go. It's 9:30 PM now and I wasn't even supposed to write in my LiveJournal at all. I feel much, much better now that I have, though. If you'll excuse me, I need some dinner before bed. x_x Excuse typos. I've been typing for the last three and a half hours straight and I'm sick of staring at the computer screen. *Hug*
