Gotta type fast...
Feb. 24th, 2005 10:04 pmSeeing as it's after my bedtime, I'm only going to write enough about my day so that I don't feel guilty about it later. @_@
Was fairly tired and relaxed today because Ryan had a temper tantrum last night that lasted almost to midnight. -_- Try sleeping through one of those, especially when his room is right next to yours.
First period...mainly uneventful. I finished my story (and I hate it), so I'm trying to procrastinate as long as possible on reading it to the class. It's seriously one of the sloppiest/most hurried stories I've ever written. Not that anyone's going to notice, but... Anyway, Ana and the other exchange students invited me to go to a movie with them tomorrow at about 4 PM, so that'll be fun. It's so sweet of them to invite me. ^_^
Second period...we watched a little of Seabiscuit and read excerpts from the book. This was fun/not fun. Fun because I adore Seabiscuit (both the book and the movie and horses in general), and I'm happy to be studying it. Not fun because I've already read the book and seen the movie multiple times, and he's making us answer questions about it and such. >.<
Third period...we looked at rather gruesome and appetite-reducing pictures of cat intestines. We're dissecting our cats again tomorrow (which is actually fairly fun), but unfortunately, it's pretty close to lunch time. A random kid came in and collected the garbage from our classroom, and I could tell he was consciously avoiding looking at the 20-foot projection of cat intestines on the wall. XD
Fourth...ehhh...nothing. Finished the graduation poster thingy they asked me to do yesterday. It came out ugly.
Lunch. Nicole and Cody's voice teacher Dorla came and was teaching the choir for the day, so Nicole and I went and watched. You don't have any idea how entertaining this was. Dorla is a fun, eccentric lady, and she had them singing this love song. She wanted emotion out of it, so she kept making the whole choir say/sing these embarrassing things really seductively/passionately, and it was overall quite hilarious/wrong/disturbing. Especially when she made them all hug themselves as they sang. I'm not even joking. XD Selah kept looking all uncomfortable and confused about it, and Cody kept cracking up. The choir sounded better than usual, though. Dorla is an excellent voice teacher because of her insanity.
In Trig...it was announced we're having a party on my birthday! Because my birthday just happens to be Pi Day (3.14..., 3/14, y'see) and Albert Einstein's birthday, some of the girls in my class talked Mr. Harter into letting us have a Pi/Pie Day on March 14th. It just so happens this is my birthday (and Albert Einstein's--the class didn't know it was Einstein's birthday 'til I told them). Isn't that cool, though? Of all the days to have a party, they picked my birthday. Everyone's bringing pie to school.
English...fairly normal. We did this weird thing where we folded the paper into fourths and drew different heads, bodies, knees, and feet (switching off for each part, and the person you switched it to couldn't see what the last quarter was). Anything I contributed to turned out weird. XD One had a wolf head, another had a Pikachu midriff. Oh! And Kelsey had a baby rabbit (about two days old, I think) in her bra, keeping him warm. His mama rejected him. ;_; He was really, really cute, though. She only showed me that she had him. He was teeny! Smaller than my palm (and I have TINY hands).
After that...waited for Mom, got a burrito after she picked me up, picked up Ryan, and spent two or so hours in the hospital at one of her meetings. -_- Ryan and I spent most of the time talking about Naruto and playing with the vending machine (which kept stealing our money and not releasing our candy--so we asked the hospital cafeteria lady to refund it (she did)). Then we sat in the room where the meeting was for a while and I drew Chikorita sitting on Satoshi's hat with my markers.
Then we got home, watched Naruto, and decided to go out to dinner at the Holbrooke because Mom won a $50.00 gift certificate for their restaurant.
Ryan and I kept confusing Mom by babbling about Naruto really fast while we waited for the food to come. I ordered some pasta with alfredo sauce and cheese on it. The bread before dinner was really good. I was only able to eat about half of the pasta, though, because I had already eaten a fair amount throughout the day and it was rich.
After dinner, we spent a while browsing around the hotel. It's a totally awesome old place (made in 1860-something), and there were all these plaques saying what famous people have stayed in which rooms. Among them were several US presidents, Mark Twain, other authors, prizefighters, actors, actresses, etc. The Holbrooke's also supposed to be haunted, but I didn't go into that whole thing with my little brother around.
Anyway...ack! I'd better go. It's already half an hour past my bedtime. Gomen for being so brief/hurried. Oyasumi!

Date: 2005-02-25 11:42 pm (UTC)OMG, you're birthday's on Pi Day?! That's also White Day! For some reason, I thought your birthday was in July. >D I have no many March birthdays now...my aunt: 1, Jim: 6, Matta: 8, Dan: 13, you: 14. Phew...I have work to do.
Aww, a baby rabbit! That reminds me of when I...um...never mind, it contains spoilers. XD But it also reminds me of when there was a rabbit nest right by our house at my old house. There was a baby bunny sleeping while its mom was eating or something and I petted it, even though my mom told me not to. O.o
My mom gets mad when I talk about anime and she doesn't know what I'm talking about. She really overreacts. -_- That sounds like a really cool place.
I love you!

Date: 2005-02-26 05:49 am (UTC)Ayato's birthday is July 3rd. [/random]
Spoilers? For what? *Confused*
Baby bunnies are so cute. ;_; I have a bunch of baby bunny stories (most of them sad). Once my cat killed a wild one (even though we tried to save it), and another time my rabbit (who I didn't know was pregnant) gave birth to baby bunnies and killed them all. ;_; Anyway, let's not talk about that.
