Randomness
Feb. 12th, 2005 11:07 amAck! I got distracted by Naruto again and didn't write for a while. I'm currently up to episode 64. I actually felt some sympathy for Neji when I heard his whole story, which I didn't think I ever would. O_o; Poor guy. I loved how they had the birds flying over him at the end of the match... That was very touching. I hope Sasuke shows up soon... ;_; That moment between Naruto and Hinata was...*Squeal* OMG so cute! I'm rather fond of Hinata, for whatever reason. I swear, I like almost every character in Naruto.
Anyway, I had at least two interesting little dreams this week.
Dream One
The first one was that I was sitting in a living room/Naruto battlefield. I was in an armchair, and there was a TV in front of my playing the Super Bowl, and off to my left there was a wood stand-thingy with a phone on it. My Dad's phone, to be exact. However, at the same time it was also a battlefield in Naruto. I have no idea how this works.
So, then Konohamaru parades in, exclaiming something about how there's a guy exactly like Sasuke. And he's just hollering and yelling about this for a good few minutes, until the guy who is "exactly like Sasuke" walks in the room.
It's Shikamaru. WTF?! Anyway, so Shikamaru stands there for a while, and starts telling all these stories about things he did just like Sasuke.
Sasuke's sitting in an armchair next to me, arms crossed over his chest, pretty much ignoring Shikamaru's bragging.
Then the phone rings and (like on my Dad's phone) the caller ID starts glowing orange. I look at the caller ID, and it says "Shuni (in katakana) and [something in Kanji]". I get all confused about who could be calling me from Japan, and then the dream ends.
Dream Two
It started out in Grass Valley Hay and Feed, which is the place that I captured and ending up owning my first chicken, Pidgeotto. I think I know why I was dreaming about Grass Valley Hay and Feed--we were there yesterday and Tia jumped out of the car and was chasing some roosters all over the place ( she could've killed them ;_;) until we could catch her.
Anyway, I was running behind the big barn where the keep their hay, by the chair-link fence, chasing a chicken that looked a lot like Ho-oh (my little Phoenix chicken Ho-oh, not the Pokémon). I captured the chicken and asked the guys if I could keep it, and they said yes.
At that point, that part of the dream completely ended.
I was in a place that was a mix between the Nevada City Fairgrounds, Cal Expo, and a fish hatchery I went to in 5th grade. I had a frog in my hand (it looked like a baby bullfrog), and I was trying to hide it from my Mom (who was with me). So, we were walking around looking at random exhibits (I don't know what kind of exhibits), and we came across this awesome room of reptiles. It had tanks lining the walls, with all kind of reptiles in them. The set-ups of the tanks were really nice, too--the type of reptile tanks I'd love to have.
There were baby turtles, Green Tree Frogs, toads, lizards, salamanders, all sorts of reptiles. I dipped my hand in the water of the turtle tank so the frog wouldn't get too dried out and get too much of the oil of my hands in its pores. I considered sneaking it into one of the frog tanks and leaving it there, but because it was a wild frog, I didn't want it to pass diseases to the Green Tree Frogs, so I just kept the frog with me.
We walked into this one room with yellowish light for a second (it was an empty room), but then we realized there was a black panther on the loose behind the door, so we got out of there quickly.
Then we walked into this other room with sliding-glass doors. Outside was the panther, patiently wanting to be let in. The lock to the doors was broken and dangling from the door, so we put this rickety bench in front of the door and drew some blinds, hoping the panther wouldn't come in. It was a little unsettling, but not nightmarishly scary. Just a feeling of, "That animal is dangerous and it could cause us harm if it gets in."
That's all I remember.
Not the most insane dreams I've ever had, but a little weird nonetheless.
The last two days were pretty fun.
Thursday was course preview day, so we had shorter classes than normal. My friends and I weren't too interested in checking out classes, so we (as usual) lingered in the choir room and watched the Chamber Choir previews (i.e., little mini-concerts). ^^;; Selah, Nicole, and I got to do that for about an hour before we had to go to our third-period classes.
Almost all of this week in Anatomy, we've been watching movies. O_o; On Thursday, Mr. Larsen let us go outside and color our worksheets, and Erin and I were having entertaining conversations as we sat (fairly high up) on a planter near the Science Lecture Hall. Lisa and Molly kind of joined in on the conversation after a while. Lisa was amused (as she always is) by the conversations that Erin and I hold. She told us, "You guys are always talking loudly about this weird things like you expect us all to understand what you're talking about. You're so funny!" ^^ Yep, that's us. Lisa's fun to talk to. Then the four of us were talking about getting wisdom teeth removed for a chunk of the period, and everyone was tickled by the fact that I felt like murdering people when I woke up from the surgery. It's true! XD
In my English class on Thursday, Mr. Cartan also let us go out into the beautiful weather to discuss Sun Also Rises (which, by the way, I'm not too fond of). I was so sleepy afterwards from sitting in the sun for that hour. It felt really good. We were in the ampitheater, on the grassy slopes.
On Thursday night and last night, Makayla and I had funny shounen-ai related conversations. We were talking about what Naruto characters we like, and all of the sudden, she went, "I WANT TO RAPE KAKASHI!" I couldn't stop cracking up, because normally Makayla's the one who is a little embarrassed about Nicole and I throwing silly sexual things into our conversations. Anyway, Makayla's finally coming out of her "I won't ackowledge how much I love shounen-ai!" shell. A little, at least.
She was even telling me last night that she and Jessie decided that they support a one-sided ship between Shikamaru and Naruto. At first I was like, "WTF? Where did that ship come from?!" but after I got off the phone with her, I was watching more Naruto and... I started noticing it. There is something funky there. o_o Funny. ^_^ I'm very un-opinionated on the Naruto ships, so I'll support just about anything. Conflicting ships and all. Everyone loves everyone else. XD
Yesterday was a rally-schedule day. We didn't want to go to the rally, so Nicole, Makayla, and I followed Cody and Thomas down to the school's tennis courts and watched them play for more than an hour. Nicole is completely incompetent at tennis. XD We kept fetching all the balls and stuff, and goofing around and being weird as usual. Nicole was putting the tennis balls in her shirt, and I kept putting the tennis balls in my mouth like a dog.
Cody and Thomas both took hair-ties and put their hair up so it was a big ponytail-like burst of hair over their foreheads. XDDD You have no idea how dorky they looked. They kept it like that for the whole time they played tennis, too. People kept walking past the tennis courts and staring weirdly at them.
I have a little convention in Sacramento tomorrow to attend, so I'm excited and trying to prepare for it. Unfortunately, Nicole can't come (;_;), so that's disappointing, but Cody, Makayla, and I are going to it. It'll be fun! And Anime Overdose is coming up pretty quickly... That'll be great. ^_^
Well, I need to take a shower now. Bye!

Date: 2005-02-13 05:04 am (UTC)Everyone comes out of their "I relly do like shounen-ai!" shell sometime in their lifetime, except some don't until after they die. [/random stupidity]
I <3 tennis. So, Cody + tennis = loooove. *dances*

Date: 2005-02-15 03:57 am (UTC)Shounen-ai is irresistable. The longer you resist it, the more obsessed you'll be when the shell cracks. The only safe people are the ones who don't know about it. XD
Cody's on the tennis team, so there'll be plenty of loooove for you. XD Once I stop being lazy and get the digital camera software to work again, I'll have to take pictures for you. XD
