*Hisses at American Idol*
Feb. 9th, 2005 09:33 pmI have to go to bed in a half hour, so I'm going to make this quick.
Hmmm...what happened today?
Creative Writing... -_- I don't really remember. I think I flipped aimlessly through old printouts of the Wolf's Rain characters and thought about TsumexToboe. I think Rae flipped through them, too. We listened to people reading their stories. One about sirens was particularly interesting. Mrs. McDaniel wants me to read my story tomorrow. Of course, she doesn't know it's incomplete and requires knowledge of Wolf's Rain to fully understand, but oh well. That's just too bad.
US History, we had a sub. We watched a documentary on Teddy Roosevelt, then worked on our homework. As you can tell, it was an immensely exciting period. *Sarcasm, for those who aren't observant enough to catch it*
Anatomy...we watched a video on AIDs, Ebola (WOO!), and some other illness I can't remember. Morbidly interesting.
TA Period, Rory wasn't there so I was working the register. Everyone kept buying 75-cent things with $20.00 bills. >.< I don't like making change. At least Makayla lingered with me for a while, talking about filling out more anime-character iFlurtz, random Naruto things, and finishing RahXephon ("The Dolems are haunting me!" -Makayla). I snuck into the choir room for quite a while while running notes.
Trig was uninteresting, but I ended up with no homework because I understood the concept so well it took me less than fifteen minutes to finish in class.
In English, we mostly talked about Hemingway. The man's life was AWESOME and hysterically funny for much of it. (Though, if you ask me, his novels are rather dull. -_-; That's just me, though.) Some of the anecdotes Mr. Cartan told us about him were so funny I was explaining bits about it to my Mom in the car on the way home.
For example: When WWII started, Hemingway was extremely determined to be a part in the war. However, no matter how hard he tried, there was no way he could get in the war to fight. (He was forty-something at this point and half-blind due to a football accident in his teens.)
So, he had this fishing boat.
There were all these rumors that the Germans were going to show up on boats along the coast and attack the country.
So, Hemingway, being insane and awesome, equipped his fishing boat with machine guns and bombing devices and patrolled the coast, looking for German boats. XD
Usually, when he spotted something and shot/bombed it to death, it was just a log or a rock, but on a few different occasions he accidentally hit American submarines. Congress had to give him a Congressional Medal of Honor or something like that in exchange for him to stop patrolling the coasts, shooting at everything. XD
That's just one little story, though. I have about ten funny ones. I won't share them because I'm too lazy and Hemingway has little to do with my life. Heck, I don't even like his novels so far.
Anyway, most of the rest of today I watched Shi no Mori episodes of Naruto with Ryan, and episodes 51-53 by myself. Mom just kicked us off the TV so she could watch American Idol. -_-; She's obsessed with American Idol. >.<
Better go, it's almost time for bed. Staring at my cat sleeping belly-up on my floor all fluffy and warm a few feet away is making me sleepy.

Date: 2005-02-13 04:53 am (UTC)American Idol is dumb. We did a parody of it for a skit at my camp though; it was hilarious. XD I was a crazy dancing lady and this other girl got to wear my kimono.
