Yesterday was not exciting enough to write about on its own, hence why there was no entry yesterday.

The most exciting things yesterday were that I received two packages in addition to the two I received Friday. The first of these packages was (and I wasn't expecting this yet, so it was cool getting it) a prize pack from VIZ that I got for free for helping advertise their website (which was why I posted those links here a little over a month ago). The prize pack is cool--it came with two t-shirts, an Inuyasha bag, a Kenshin pin, a Saikano pin, a bunch of sample manga, and...I can't remember the rest. Fun little things.

The second package was my CDs from CDJapan and we had to go pick them up at the post office. When we arrived, the post office wasn't open yet, so we walked to a few stores to kill time. One of the stores is this awesome store filled with reptiles of every shape and size (I spent a long time in there because I love the animals so much), and then The Gray Goose, which is an awesome store downtown that specializes in crazy stuff. I found some cute Japanese koneko stationary there (complete with little sayings next to the kitten pictures in a neko accent), but it was $7 and when I looked on the back the price was only 130 yen. So much for that. Importing costs aren't *that* expensive.

It's really nice having at least some of my CDs back. Yay~ not burned CDs! I'm feeling very relieved to have more music again, too. I did a giant CD-sorting job when we got back from the post office. I think I'm going to use some of my old CD cases and inserts for a collage or something.

The rest of yesterday, I sat on my bed and talked on the phone. First I talked to Louisa for...at least two and a half hours, and about nothing in particular, really. Then I had a lengthy conference call with Nicole, Cody, Makayla, and Kathryn. Nicole went over to hang out with Makayla and Kathryn, but I was really lazy and decided I felt like sitting around on my bed some more. I finished coloring my Ryuichi drawing (finally) and fiddled with my markers, amongst other things.

Today was a bit more eventful. Jake (Ryan's friend) came over in the morning and was hanging around our house and...I don't know, because I was watching AMVs to kill boredom.

Nicole was reading fanfiction for a long time (I kept calling her), but I called Cody and he said he'd take us to a choir concert at three, so I walked over to her house.

While we waited for Cody to arrive, we talked on instant messenger to a few of Nicole's internet buddies. This was quite fun because I've met one of the two internet buddies (at AnimeDestiny) and the other one we're going to room with at Anime Expo and AnimeNext.

The conversations were a bit chaotic, because first Nicole was talking to BP and Dustin, then I was talking to BP and Dustin, and then Cody arrived and started talking to them. ^^;; So we kept taking turns on the computer talking to them. BP remembered me, cleverly, as "the Pikachu cosplayer" and Cody as "the guy with the backpack". XD

We also burned several of my new CDs for Nicole. I drew a rooster on the copy of the Tank! THE! BEST! CD, which caused Nicole to further question my sanity.

Anyway, then we said goodbye to Nicole's internet buddies as to not be late for the choir concert.

Well, all we knew about the concert was it was supposed to be near the Mt. St. Mary's school in Grass Valley and it was a Lutheran church. We searched every church in that general area, but never did find it. XD; Searching every church in the area is actually quite an accomplishment, however, as this was Church St. and therefore is littered with churches of every branch of the Christian faith known to mankind, I think. WTH is a "Unitarian Universalist"?

We did find a showing of some real Tibetan monks creating a sand mandala in one of the churches, however, so that was cool to see.

After we concluded that we thoroughly didn't know where this church was, Cody drove to Nevada City where we meandered around for a while, wondering if this was where the Lutheran church was. Again, we didn't find it but did find all sorts of other churches. Nevada City and Grass Valley have *SO* many churches that it's just plain insane.

While we were in the car, a song came on on the radio that reminded Nicole and I overwhelmingly of my pet chicken The Salula, so we decided that we should make a Salula music video to it. XD;; We'd have to videotape her a whole bunch, though.

Eventually we gave up and went back to Nicole's. There Cody almost immediately started jumping on the trampoline, so we joined him. For the first while, it was a competition of trying to bounce each other to the point where we fell over, but it degenerated somehow into us all sitting in a circle on the trampoline cross-legged and throwing sticks at one another. My socks were wet from walking across the moist lawn and I tried to draw a Salula face on the trampoline with the wetness. It was wildly unsuccessful.

In order to get back across the lawn without further getting our socks wet, Nicole and I took turns stealing Cody's slippers and hopping across the lawn in them. XD They're about ten sizes too big for me, though (I can fit my whole shoe in his slipper), so they tried to fall off every step. I have really small feet, though.

We helped ourselves to cereal in Nicole's house. I left my cereal for a second to get Cody some silverware (because he made me XD), and when I came back there was a banana in my cereal. "Who put this here?" I questioned, and Cody went, "Not me!" I slyly looked over and saw and banana peel on the other side of him in plain sight. XD "Yeah, sure you didn't." It was a kind of anime-ish moment, but you'd have to have been there.

Nicole and I spent a long amount of time watching Cody color one of his drawings on Photoshop, which was both fun to watch and somewhat educational (as I had no idea how to use it). Nicole and I started drawing on the couch, and when Cody decided he was sufficiently done with his picture, he sat next to us and each of us worked on a drawing. I drew a bunch of pictures of Kiba (front-shot, running shot, and chibi annoyed Kiba) in Nicole's sketchbook. Cody was doing cute semi-chibi little pictures. He did one that was a random original Gundam-ish character saying "Where is my giant robot and gun? This doesn't look like [name of a random place] anymore..." In the foreground was a sweatdropping Diglett looking puzzled at the random character. It was cute. ^_^

Well, Nicole left at 5:30 PM to play music with Eva Rosky, so I followed Cody to his house. We ate bagels and played with Boots and watched very entertaining AMVs (which I downloaded the night before) while we were there.

Cody's mom came home at some point and wanted to go out to dinner. Cody was going to drop me off at my house, but Sheila offered that I was welcome to come with them, so I did. ^_^ We went to Friar Tuck's downtown, which is a very nice, beautiful restaurant (and also fairly expensive). I ordered a salad because I wasn't really that hungry and knew Dad would make dinner at home (and out of politeness, of course). We held little discussions about colleges and the such, and it was a nice, relaxed dinner. Cody was a little tired, though, because he fell asleep at 1 AM last night and woke up at 8 AM in the morning.

Well, he dropped me off at home after that ( around 8 PM) and now here I am. Dad, Ryan, and I watched part of Rat Race (for the bazillionth time) and I did the rest of my homework.

I have no idea what I'm going to do about my Picasso presentation tomorrow. I'm sure I'll pull it off somehow, though. I am kind of a teacher's pet (and this is true with most of my teachers because I am indeed a good student XP), so I can get away with just about anything with him. Wish me luck! I have to go to bed now (as it is 10:15, and 10:00 is my bedtime).
