I want to get this dream down before I forget any more of it. XP

Nicole and I were at this train station with a Darcia cosplayer. A really good Darcia cosplayer, too. My Mom and brother were there, too, but Nicole, Darcia, and I kept going and finding things to do (and they didn't come with us), so they were more in the background than anything else.

Anyway, Nicole, Darcia, and I wandered into this low-ceilinged, musty room with these glass cases and ivory sculptures in them. I think most of the sculptures were birds that people hunt for sport--I know one of the sculptures closest to me was a grouse. It smelled old and dusty.

I don't remember if it was in that room or another one, but we found out you could rent cars at the train station and drive them around for about ten minutes or so. So, we convinced Mom to rent one. She did, but for whatever reason the car was identical to her car (a silver Subaru), and I stayed behind while she zoomed around on the road with it (with my brother and Nicole in the car; I'm not sure where Darcia went at this point). I kept wondering why she could break the speed limit (she was on a normal road) in the rental car, and I also wondered what was the point of renting it in the first place when it looked just like her car.

Before the ride was over, Darcia came striding up (in a perfect Darcia-stride), and then he started running towards me as if he was going to glomp me. He ran right past me and glomped the kid next to me, just to make me mad. XD Anyway, then he actually glomped me and we started walking towards the train tracks.

Then Nicole came, because apparently the car ride was over. The three of us started walking along the train platform, and Nicole and I commented on how well the Darcia cosplayer was doing, and that his voice sounded a lot like Darcia's. For about two seconds, Nicole was in a Cheza costume (which was puzzling), but then she wasn't the next time I looked.

I thought I saw Rosie on the other side of the tracks with...I forget who. Someone cosplaying from an anime, but I can't remember who the character was. Except, Nicole thought that who I thought the person next to the cosplayer was Nick, and in the end it turned out to be our friend Kanis. XP I didn't know we could mistake Kanis for Rosie or Nick, but whatever. XD

I know I'm forgetting fragments, but it was a kind of odd dream. I'm not sure what it has to do with anything... ^^;;

And I have no idea who the Darcia cosplayer actually was. XD

Happy Thankgiving, everyone! *Hug* I'm thankful you're all my friends!

Aww, thanks! *hugs* I'm thankful, too!

So, you were just at a random train station, and there were cosplayers? Sounds amusing. =P I know you've explained this too me before, but I'm unsure so I want to clarify...about glomping at anime cons. XD So, you just walk up to someone, and ask, "Can I glomp you?" How exactly do you glomp? My friend and I have always done it where you take a few steps back and then run and jump on them. XD I'm sure they're will be people I want to glomp at Ohayocon, but I don't want to say/do anything wrong. ^^;

Most of the time, you don't need to ask permission to glomp someone. The effect is much, much better if you don't ask. XD Basically, you spot your target, run up (usually from at least 50 feet away), and tackle-hug 'em! It's just like a normal hug, except with much more enthusiasm and impact. Yelling the character's name or squealing gives a nice effect, too. It makes you look even less sane. ^^;;

The only time you should ask is if the person looks really shy. Then it might be a better idea to just ask for a hug.

Just trust me on this, as a veteran glomper and glompee: Your victims won't get angry at you, they usually are very nice about it, and it makes the majority of people feel good about themselves. Most people *want* to get glomped, and even if they didn't want to, they usually get over the embarrassment fast. Glomping is a great way to make friends.

Some of my friends were really, painfully shy about glomping random strangers at first (we glomped people with them to get them used to it), now they're addicted. It's just so much fun. ^^

Oh, and you can ask about glomping whenever you want! It's fun to explain to people. XD
