Jul. 10th, 2012 11:55 pmAhh, finally managed to get some good quality rest after having trouble sleeping last night and earlier today, too. Last night it was leg soreness, and then today head and neck. I don't even know why. I'm feeling somewhat better now, though, although I still have slight cramps. Good sleep makes a big difference.
Now to go finish this Wolf's Rain drawing I've been working on, officially. I mostly finished it the other night, but I have a few things I wanted to add before I upload it anywhere. I still fail at backgrounds and should really work on that, but at least in this case the BG works fine with the piece even though it isn't as good as I wish it was. I'm just glad to be finishing art at all--that's the important thing, right?
I think my next anime watch is going to be Tsuritama. I have it downloaded, just have to start it.
I'm sad that Sakamichi no Apollon ended. It was a great series! I think the ending was a bit rushed--stretching the conclusion out one more episode may have been beneficial I think--but that last music scene was awesome. I loved the way the series used music as an emotional dialogue between the characters. Kaoru and Sen's friendship is moving. They're such different people, but compliment each other perfectly. I enjoyed that the series is very much a josei series--relationship dramas and all, and ordinary life--but the excellent direction and music and all made it extraordinary, and filled with moments of transcendence, even when they're just small moments.
