pacificpikachuLaptop is working again! Seems to have been some sort of issue with 2 GB of my RAM. We haven't put the RAM back in yet to determine if it's a permanent issue with that RAM or just something temporary, but anyway, aside from my laptop being currently 6 GB of RAM instead of 8, it's working perfectly. Aaah, I'm so glad. ;; One of dad's friends fixed it for free.
