pacificpikachuNot replying to comments right now, just posting to say that Fanime has been absolutely fantastic! Every year I get so excited about this con and sometimes I wonder if there will be a day the convention won't live up to my expectations. However, so far, every year it manages to do the opposite--make me extremely happy to a degree beyond what I even expected. It truly is the best convention in my opinion!
I went to the FLOW concert last night and it was phenomenal! I've been to a lot of great concerts and this one was up there in the top few. They got nearly everyone dancing and singing along and the happy energy was thrilling. FLOW's music has a lot of charisma and this translates even stronger in concert. Yuuya Matsushita was decent, too--the only thing was that his dancing and that of his his back-up singers reminded me so much of a 1990s US boy band that I had a hard time taking it seriously. Still, it was fun! Especially Trust Me, of course.
Anyway, I'm doing great here and having a wonderful time, though of course I sometimes think briefly about my birds that I lost. I haven't heard from mom, I'm hoping that means no news is good news and that everyone else is all right.
Tonight I'm going out to dinner with friends, going to a few panels, probably going to hentai and yaoi for a bit for the laughs, and going to the dance for a little while. I finished most of my shopping at the con today, but I might do a little last-minute shopping, and tomorrow it'll probably mostly just be exploring, hanging out, and the sad part--saying goodbye to such a fun con!
I'll write more when I get back! For now I'm going to go back to the con, after I give my feet another couple of minutes to recuperate.
