CHICKENS

Just have to make it through the rest of Friday (which ought to be a bit chaotic) and I get to go to the chicken show! It's downright ridiculous how much I'm excited for this chicken show, hahaha. This is similar to the excitement I get before anime conventions, though perhaps on a slightly smaller scale because it's just one day as opposed to a full weekend and I'm most likely going alone. Unless one of you wants to come with me to a chicken show in Stockton at 5 AM on a Saturday. WHICH YOU ALL TOTALLY DO, obviously!

Already confirmed that I'm going to buy two silver phoenix bantam hens, other than that...well, I'm just going to try not to come home with an insane amount of birds. I've been seriously considering adding on to the chicken coop lately, though--I think it would be fairly simple/not very expensive to do so, and the more room the better. :D

Candled the five serama eggs that are in the incubator, and all five have good development so far! Three of my eggs are a little more porous than I'd like, but hopefully the chicks will still be able to make it. We'll see, if it doesn't work out well I'll just be more careful about porous eggs next time. It's all a learning experience.

Oh, good news I forgot to post last time is that my cat Bob was tested again for feline leukemia, and she was negative this time! This is wonderful news and I'm so happy and pleased! ♥ Now she can hopefully live a good, long life that won't be cut short, and she's allowed to come in if she wants. She doesn't want to, but it's a nice thought anyway. Either her body fought it off or it was a false positive the first time. It's a big relief.

I also wanted to update that my old cat Princess, while her kidneys are likely not functioning at full capacity and will fail at some point in the future, is thriving. She's put weight back on, she's eating well, she keeps herself hydrated, and she behaves completely normal and seems very content.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment (in the morning .___.), will hopefully work on my AMV with Makayla at some point, need to go by dad's and get a few packages ready to ship, put new shavings in the chicken coop, prepare for the chicken show, see about buying textbooks, and take care of the animals as usual. It's gonna be a somewhat busy day! Then I need to go to sleep early or nap during the day or something so I won't be completely sleep-deprived getting up at 5 AM.
