I haven't been online or even on a computer in a week or something. :O New record? Therefore obviously I haven't been answering or reading or commenting on anything... Sorry about that! My laptop cord is broken yet again and with the chaos of Fanime and pre- and post-Fanime I simply haven't had time either.

Fanime was made of complete AWESOME like always--Fanime never disappoints!

GAINAX remembered Nicole and my costumes and therefore we got admittance into a special party and had dinner with Yamada-san, who is the director of the photography and CG effects in Gurren Lagann among other things. We talked to him (with a translator of course) for the whole two hours of the party and...so amazing. He was talking about how remembering our costumes and enthusiasm towards Gurren Lagann helped keep him going through working on Lagann-hen even when it got tough (he was sleeping in the studio some nights, as portrayed in the Making of Gurren Lagann documentary we saw before the party), and said we can visit the studios if we come to Japan and--if we could manage to become fairly proficient in Japanese--said we would be welcome to get jobs there (!!!). I LOVE MY LIFE. If things don't work out as far as being a vet goes, totally learning Japanese and going to work at GAINAX. Seriously.

He was also saying my Boota costume was in one of Shokotan's promo videos and that he got excited when he saw me and showed everyone at GAINAX saying that he talked to me at Fanime '08. LOL.

Anyway, that was incredible. He gave Nicole, Nolan, and I his personal e-mail, too, and said to e-mail him regularly and send pictures of the Gurren Lagann cosplay gatherings I've been to and such. I'm going to e-mail him tomorrow once I get my pictures uploaded. By the end of the two hours, we were totally friends. :D I'm looking forward to seeing him and the rest of the GAINAX staff (yayyy, Imaishi and Nishigori--I haven't gotten to meet them yet, though I've met pretty much the entire rest of the Gurren Lagann staff) at Anime Expo! I hope I can hang out with GAINAX again like at the last two Fanime.

Here is my evidence, second picture down, though you can't see the Boota costume in this picture: http://gainax.weblogs.jp/gurrenlagann/2009/05/3-bdb5.html (I'm the second person from the left.)

I worked like a madwoman on my Umbreon costume, even coating the hotel room in faux fur, and surprisingly (despite the insanity of finishing it within two days more-or-less) it turned out wonderful! Once my laptop is fixed I'll upload pictures. I have to make some minor adjustments to it, but I'm really pleased with how it came out and I could hardly walk ten feet without picture requests. I only got to wear it once because I was doing so many things, but I wore it for several hours so I was happy. It'll be a great costume to bring to a ton of cons! I'm glad to finally have a good Pokémon costume again.

Ahhh, I'm trying to remember all of my amazing experiences at Fanime but I can't at the moment! There were so many! I'll have to make a list of them later so I can talk about them. Fanime was great, though, needless to say. It always is the best con ever. ♥

I always seem to altogether miss or only briefly see my online/con friends at Fanime, though, for some reason! D: Then I feel bad about it and go "Why didn't I just call them?"/"How do I always manage to miss them no matter what?". It's not intentional at all, it just always works out that way. T___T Sorry to everyone I missed or only saw in passing! I wish we could have gotten to spend time together!

I've gotten three birds since I got back. Pictures tomorrow, hopefully! One of the birds was a young grosbeak, but she passed away in the car on the way home. The other two are a freaking adorable little puffball of a bird (trying to ID it right now) and a nestling blackbird. Both are quite healthy and content.

Other than that I've just been playing Pokémon Ranger, hanging out with Honey and taking her for walks, watching National Geographic channel, transporting the chickens/other poultry back and forth all the time because the chicken house still isn't attached to the run, and so on. In all honesty, it's kind of nice not being on the computer all the time, though of course I miss you all. I just don't miss all the time I normally put into the computer, haha.

Oh, the pheasant never did come back. :( I miss her because I loved that little pheasant, but honestly I can't feel that bad about it because now she's free and probably quite happy. Pheasants are wild animals, after all, and while she seemed fairly content in the coop I'll bet she's a lot better off in the wild with her own kind than being bothered at by the chickens and ducks and guinea fowl all the time. She never was fully tame and always very smart, so I'll bet she's doing great out there. (And I say that honestly, not just trying to sugarcoat things. XD)

I guess that's all for now? Please be patient with any contact you try to make with me at the moment--my computer is still broken, after all, and my dad's computer has been acting bizarre to say the least so I don't generally feel like going on it. I'll try to get back to everyone within a few days at most, though.

I don't think I can actually go back and read all the entries I missed because the number of entries would be too much, but if anything significant happened at all in your lives please post the URL of the entry or let me know what it was. I greatly dislike missing things that are going on with all of you! I might actually still attempt to go back despite the enormity of the task because of this. XD
