So, I was up until 5 AM watching those auctions, because one of them kept getting extended by a last-minute bidder, though finally they gave up and let me win. I won one and lost one, so overall it turned out okay. Whoever won that Pikachu set REALLY wanted it, because the bidding went quite high and well out of my range even with all the wild bidding over everything else in the set on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

I'm on call today for Wildlife Rehab and Release, and it's my last day "on the job" for the year. I'll miss getting birds in, but I'm looking forward for relaxing for my last few days of summer.
It's been really quiet lately, including yesterday when I was on call as well. All I got was one call about a woodpecker, which I referred to Janey (who is our woodpecker specialist). Of course, today--the day I'm up until 5 AM--suddenly I get five calls within the span of about two hours to deal with. I'm not complaining because I dealt with all of the calls without a problem (though I couldn't take anything in personally because I'm going back to school in six days), but I just think it's funny that there have been very few calls for about a month and suddenly I get hammered with them when I've had about three or four hours of sleep. XD Let's hope it calms down now, as it's usually busy in the morning and slows down in the afternoon and evening.
I think it's time for a well-deserved nap, and hope the phone doesn't ring. =__=
