pacificpikachuThere's nothing going on. :/ Instead of being productive with my time, I'm wasting it and taking quizzes on the internet and such.
I'm watching the dogs for my mom today (she's working dayshift). Trying to get the birds self-feeding and failing so far. The Mystery Bird just makes his buzzing noise all the time and refuses to eat anything on his own. He doesn't even want to eat the solid food I'm offering him--he just spits it out. It's a little frustrating, so I basically just put a bunch of live mealworms in their food in hopes that the movement catches their eye and they eat something. I'm only feeding them every few hours to try and reinforce this.
I almost took in a baby grosbeak yesterday, but he has a big problem with his leg so Linda is taking him to the vet today to make sure he shouldn't be put down. Linda also took the adult injured jay because she also has an adult injured jay and an aviary (set up so the birds can't see people). I think he'll be a lot happier there. :) I'm quite sure he'll be releasable.
I'm in that particular state of boredom where I'm bored but I don't actually want to do anything but complain about the fact that I'm bored. Thus it is useless. XD
So, f-list, what personality type are you? Inquiring minds want to know.
Picture of him from four or five days ago. He's matured a lot in that time, but that's basically what he looks like. He's so...generic! But none of us can figure out what he is. He's sort of like a finch, but he's definitely not a house finch. :/
Nest of babies from when I had several. Three house sparrows, a blackbird, and one of the two towhees (though he was hard to tell from a house sparrow at the time). These guys left the nest the day after this picture was taken because they were inspired by the Mystery Bird.
I'll post pictures of the towhees when I have the camera back.
