Rewatched all of Macross Frontier that's out subbed right now with Nicole today, and had a grand time doing so. I enjoyed it a lot upon second viewing--at least as much as I have the first way through, if not slightly more. It holds up well to marathons. Nicole had a lot of fun watching it, too, so all-in-all it was a well spent couple of hours.

Also downloaded the OST, and I predict (as usual with Yoko Kanno CDs) I'll be listening to it on repeat until the end of time. 8D It's weird--I feel guilty about downloading a CD I'm 100% sure I'll be purchasing. I really shouldn't feel guilty when I know I'm buying the CD, but still. Anyway, it's fantastic. Oddly, the pop songs sound more epic and amazing on the CDs than they do in the series--which is saying a lot, as I've been enjoying them in the series, too. It's nice that the CD has twelve vocal tracks and twelve instrumental tracks--it strikes a good balance, and there's a good variety. It's just an absolutely amazing CD. Time to play it so much that my mom and brother can sing along in a week or two. XD

It is nearly unhealthy how much I obsess on Yoko Kanno. ♥ No, seriously. She's just the most amazing composer ever, though. I can't even imagine my life without her music.

Today wasn't as busy a bird day as yesterday was (it was CHAOS), but there were some bird comings and goings.

Yesterday: Had massive insanity over one baby blackbird getting here from an hour away. Took forever to get to me, tons of phone calls, and the other two babies that had been in the nest died because the lady had waited almost two days (with NO FOOD and NO WATER) to call us. It's miraculous the third one seems healthy. Also got in two fledgling mourning doves, only to realize I had no dove food on me and the babies were too stressed to eat anyway. Ended up just leaving them alone until the morning. Got a call on a scrub jay, but I didn't get him until today. One of the mystery birds (not the one I always talk about, who is The Mystery Bird, but the OTHER mystery birds) died in my hand for no apparent reason. :/

Today: Nina came and picked up the mourning doves, and the scrub jay arrived. The scrub jay was supposedly a baby, but he's actually an adult with spinal damage. Thankfully, it doesn't seem severe, he's improved a lot already, and he's eating well. :) Hopefully he'll be all right! I'm optimistic, but you have to be careful with spine injuries. I have to leave him alone as much as possible because he gets extremely upset if he even just sees me.

The Mystery Bird (his identity will be figured out once I find my Stokes bird guide) figured out how to fly today, so he's been simultaneously driving me nuts and making me laugh by flying out of the cage every feeding and knocking down Pokémon toys. He's so adorable, haha, there's no way I could actually get mad at him.

[livejournal.com profile] pkmncollectors business is going well. :D I've sold a lot in my sales post so far, and I spent the night packaging a lot of things. Hopefully I can get them out in two or three days, once everyone else pays. I'm saving most of the money for Anime Expo, but some of it is being invested into more things--some of which I'll be selling to make more. I'm waiting to hear back from one Ebay user about a transaction that could prove to be a little exciting. :D Not super super exciting or anything, but something I've wanted for a while and it's highly sought after.

Oh, and here's this:

My personality type: the dreamy idealist

Because I'm a meme sheep sometimes. :D I pretty much think it hit the nail on the head with most of the assessment, though I'm not actually that shy/reserved in most circumstances.
