I had a nice weekend. On Friday I worked on cosplay with Nicole and Aubrey. Nicole went wig shopping online and tore the tape off of her Nia costume (revealing such lovely red lines underneath--I'm glad our plan worked out so well!), Aubrey sewed fluff on to her Matt vest, and I fought with Wonderflex. I think, based off of all my annoyance and frustration, that the Wonderflex won, but just barely. I still got it into a slightly better shape than it was before, though it still needs a lot of work. :/

Went out to dinner with Ryan and dad at Tuscany Gardens. This was quite delicious.

Saturday, I went to the annual Songbird Training class. I taught a segment of it, and I think it went very well. In fact, the whole class was a lot of fun; such an enthusiastic group of people that I was wishing I had baby birds already. Alas, I have to wait another two weeks before I can devote my entire waking life to the mouthes of tiny featherballs. It'll be fun getting back into the rehabber groove, though. Even when it's depressing or stressful, it still beats schoolwork. I mean, how can baby birds NOT beat homework?

Today I went with dad and Ryan to this Home and Garden show at the fairgrounds for a little while. I was hoping the Hawaiian Ice people would be there because I really wanted a coconut one, but I didn't see them there. :( Dad bought this cool metal lizard decoration for the yard, though. Other than that, we basically just came, walked through it once, and left.

I spent some of the day watching more Kurenai and Macross Frontier. I'm enjoying both a lot. :D Kurenai is growing on me. I'm still not convinced I love the whole dispute mediator thing and Shinkurou's weird power, but I love Murasaki and Shinkurou and a lot of the minor characters, too. It's a cute show. Nothing super-impressive, but I'm enjoying it. It makes me smile, and I'm starting to notice a theme of misunderstanding in it.

Macross Frontier is all kinds of entertaining. I don't think it's anything special or amazing or anything, but it's so good at being entertaining that I don't care. I don't normally like the super-cutesy types of characters, but Ranka is ADORABLE. ♥ The color of Sheryl's hair continues to fascinate me for some reason. XD I'm kind of "meh" on Alto, but whatever. Most of the minor characters are likeable, too. Of course, the Yoko Kanno music is beautiful and wonderful and really makes the show, IMO. I'm almost ashamed to admit how much I'm enjoying the series because I recognize its' lack of originality, but...it's so much fun! I'm looking forward to more coming out.

I'm making my way through Kaiji, too, albeit just a few episodes at a time. The intelligence of the writing amazes me; it's so intricate! I'm glad I decided to watch it, because it's a very interesting series and so well paced that the episodes go by in a flash.

FINALLY Toshokan Sensou was subbed; I'll be watching that as soon as I get a chance, along with a number of other Spring series I've downloaded.

Mom picked me up from dad's earlier today and we went out to see Rivi (our Thoroughbred gelding). At the stable, two foals were just born! One was born on Friday and the other was born today. They're sooooo adorable. ♥ I spent a long time taking pictures of them, and then I started taking pictures of Rivi running and bucking. I'll post some pictures of both the foals and Rivi if anyone is interested in me doing so. They're pretty cute pictures.

I'm NOT looking forward to the next two weeks of school. I have an unpleasant paper due on Wednesday that I haven't even started, a Zoology test on Tuesday, and a big presentation on Thursday. I don't mind the presentation so much, as it's on the intelligence of crows and other corvids (a topic that interests me very much), but the paper... D: It's on chicken growth, which normally WOULD interest me, but our hypothesis was so obvious that I don't know how I'm supposed to BS a five or six page paper on it. (The question we were trying to answer? Which grows faster: A laying breed, or a meat breed? Durrrr.) I mostly just hate the research aspects of it. That'll be what I'm working on the next two days, and then I'll probably throw the crow presentation together on Wednesday. The Zoology test shouldn't be a problem, either. I just need to study for it. :/

Of course, the week after that is finals, which isn't exactly a fun week, either.

I also have packages to send out on Tuesday (I haven't even packaged them up yet, and there's ten of them).

Hmmm. I'm thinking about selling some of my doujinshi. I don't even look at most of it, and while I'm ridiculously attached to a few of them due to pretty art or extreme amounts of adorable, there's probably at least six or seven I wouldn't mind selling off. I think I may do that later in the week.
