Mar. 28th, 2008 11:57 pmI had a dream about Sawao last night. :D
The dream has faded pretty considerably now, but it involved Sawao hanging out at my house with Nicole and I after a concert. We were all just sort of...chilling. I don't know--it's hard to describe. @__@ We were just all taking pictures together and talking and such. There was apparently no language barrier, either, or if there was it was only very slight. Anyway, I was curbing some of my picture-taking impulses because I didn't want to seem like a scary fangirl, and Sawao was just being...cool. We got along with him really well. ♥
Then, suddenly and for no apparent reason, we were at another concert. It looked like it was at a wrestling ring. WTF? So there was audience on all sides with the pillows in the wrestling ring playing some song or another. Except it was like I couldn't hear the music? Not like I was perturbed by this or noticed it, but I don't remember there being actual music.
Randomly they finished a song and Sawao came out from...uh, somewhere with three Pokémon plushies. One was a really nice Mew plush, and one was a Pikachu plush and I'm not sure what the other one was. Maybe Pichu? I was somewhere in the middle of the crowd (even though I NEVER am at real concerts--I'm always in the front), and Sawao threw the Mew plushie into the crowd. At first I thought it was going to go too far for me to get it, but somehow it curved in midair and landed in the arms of the guy next to me. I wanted the Mew plush SO BADLY, so I grabbed it. The guy fought for it to a point, but not very hard. Or rather...it seemed like he was trying very hard to keep it, but it was easy for me to get it anyway.
Naturally, I was overjoyed that I got it. It was really soft, and I was so, so, so very happy because I had gotten to hang out with Sawao for an extended period of time, and now I got a Mew plushie he had thrown into the crowd. It was weird, because when I was waking up, it was like I was hugging the Mew plush, and as I gradually regained consciousness is faded out of my arms.
It was a highly disappointing dream to wake from. ;__;
Today I...um, I started Kaiji! (Be proud of me,
xel_ko,
astrokittie, and
toggy!) Instead of working on cosplay. .__.; I watched the first seven episodes and I'm enjoying it very much. It's so cleverly plotted and well-paced! It took me about a half an episode to get used to the art style, but, surprisingly, that's all it took. Now I'm just enjoying the story. I mean, it's an epic anime ABOUT ROCK PAPER SCISSORS. How could you go wrong? I'm looking forward to seeing more of it, because the first seven episodes have been very enjoyable.
This is also crazy because years ago, Zoe and I used to discuss all the time how we wanted to create an amazing and epic manga about Rock Paper Scissors. WTF, I think the anime industry is spying on us.
And years before that, Nicole and I were discussing (weirdly enough) combinations of different fruits and the word 'fish,' and we came up with "banana fish" as our favorite. It evolved into an in-joke from there. You can imagine how strange I felt when I found out there's a manga called Banana Fish. O_o; I mean, seriously, how much more arbitrary can you get?
So, in summary, I am obviously a brilliantly gifted psychic who can predict anime and manga via in-jokes.
The rest of the day involved little other than caring for my pets, so I guess that's all I have to say. I have so many things I need to do tomorrow--hopefully I'll actually accomplish something for once!
