Yet again, I'm posting on LiveJournal (and mostly just memes, on top of that) when I'm supposed to be doing homework. D: I have a bad feeling about the fact that I haven't worked on my Calculus homework yet and I have a great number of problems to do, but...oh well, I suppose. I have no class Thursday, so I guess I can just stay up late working on it and then sleep in on Thursday. ;__; I really need to get some self-control when it comes to Calculus homework--for some reason, I can never bring myself to do it.
I dissected an earthworm today, which took all of five minutes, and completed another hardcore Zoology "quiz". Thirty-six paragraph answers. D: I was kind of painful. I got most of the questions without a problem, but there were between three and five that I had no idea on and was forced to guess in vain hope that she would give me points for my guess. ;__;
Memes! Several of them.

Comment and I'll give you a letter; then you have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. Afterward, post this in your journal and give out some letters of your own.
1. Pikachu - Oh, c'mon, it's obvious. Um, it's an electric rodent, it's cute, I love drawing it all over everything, I've cosplayed it, and I have a Pikachu collection on top of my TV. It's not actually my favorite Pokémon (Mew has the honor), but I do adore it. While we're at it...
2. Pokémon - My first real fandom, and what got me into anime (unless you count Little Nemo, but I didn't know what anime was back then). Also my favorite fandom EVER for nostalgic reasons and because I have a weird obsession with the Pokémon world. I love writing about it, drawing Pokémon, collecting merchandise... You name it. Is it silly? Yes. But it's so much fun that I know I'll never abandon it. I have a Deep Emotional Connection with it, you know? Being obsessed with something for over ten years (very close to eleven now) does that to you.
3. Paranoia Agent/Paprika/Perfect Blue - I figured it would be cheating if I put each of these as a separate thing I love. XD Satoshi Kon rocks my socks, he's possibly my favorite director ever, and I love everything he does. ♥
4. PlanetES - I still need to read the manga, but I adore the anime. A serious and realistic look at space and the ordinary people within it, but it also has a lot to say about human morals, the value of life, and...well, a number of other things. It's not nearly as well-known as I think it deserves--I urge all of you to check it out if you haven't seen it already. :D
5. Peter S. Beagle - Author of The Last Unicorn, and my favorite author ever overall. His prose is so simple but so incredibly gorgeous, and the stories he tells are just incredible. I met him at Anime Expo this last year! He's such an incredibly nice guy--I hope I get to meet him again sometime.
6. Poultry - I absolutely love poultry! Chickens, ducks, exotic fowl, geese? Count me in! A lot of people dislike or don't know much about poultry, but I think they're super-interesting, beautiful, and they make awesome pets, too. I'll take any excuse to talk about my chickens, ducks, and pheasant. I raise a lot of different varieties of chickens and I love reading all about different breeds of poultry. It's a weird hobby, but I love it!
7. Princess Mononoke - I...think it goes without saying? I worry about anyone on my f-list who hasn't seen Princess Mononoke. O_o;
8. Psychology - The human mind is endlessly fascinating to me, especially the darker sides of it. If I wasn't so drawn to working with animals, I think psychology would be the field I would go into. The human mind just seems so boundless and strange. Once humanity knows all about the external world, I think the human mind will still be a mystery.
9. Paku Romi - Is an awesome seiyuu. ♥ I love her voice, and in addition to all the other awesome characters she voices, she voices HARAKEN. So she gets my eternal love. ♥ I'm still so sad that she didn't make it to Anime Expo a few years back--I hope she makes it out for another one sometime. ;__;
10. [the] pillows - Best J-rock band ever, hands-down. ♥

Comment on this post. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.
1. 528 - A long-running in-joke between my friends and I. It started with an episode of a show called Mysterious Ways that I was obsessed with in middle school (and still am, though it was canceled years ago), in which the characters become obsessed with the number 528 for reasons that are rather complex and difficult to explain succinctly. Well, I decided randomly that I wanted this to be my favorite number, too, and since then it has shown up in the strangest places at the strangest times. 5/28 is a holiday to us, now, and we point out 528s whenever we see them. This will be the first year since I started going that Fanime does not fall on 5/28 at all. ;__;
2. Earth Girl Arjuna - A rather bizarre anime about a girl who has a near-death experience in which she sees the future of the earth and is given the choice to either die or save it. It has its moments of brilliance, but overall it's a pretty dumb anime, in all honesty. It totally pushes its environmental themes down your throat (and this is coming from a definite environmentalist) and so many of its scenes are just...buh? The ending had me laughing out loud because it was so ridiculous. However, it has one of my favorite OSTs of all time (YOKO KANNO), and...like I said, it had its moments.
3. Grave of the Fireflies - Such a depressing movie. D: I adore it, but it's one of those movies that makes you want to stare at the wall endlessly for days after you finish it. I think it's a must-see for anime fans, though--it really displays the power that anime can have, and it's got amazing art and animation for its time. It's a real gem.
4. Jays - Some of my favorite birds! I've raised around thirty or forty scrub and stellar's jays total, and they're intelligent, mischievous, and often downright hilarious. Many people find them obnoxious, but to me, they're amazing and fun to be around. However, I can't say I recommend keeping a cage of them in your room at any given time. They're loud and squirrely. x_x;
5. Moyashimon - An adorable, hilarious anime about a guy who can see microbes. There's no real plot or meaning to it that I can discern, but it's got great characters, crossdressing, random acts of lesbianism, ADORABLE MICROBES, and, all-in-all, is just an entertaining series.
6. PokéShipping - The Ash/Misty (or Satoshi/Kasumi, if you prefer the Japanese as I do) pairing in Pokémon. Um, first thing I ever shipped, and...it's cute. XD I miss the old epic flamewars over PokéShipping versus PalletShipping--it's so hilarious now that I think about it.
7. Shiny Things - Shiny things are exciting. :'D I like to poke at them and I am easily distracted by them.
