pacificpikachuI forgot to post again yesterday. Yesterday was kind of dramatic.
The night before last, I was lying in bed trying to sleep, and I had a little bit of trouble breathing. I didn't think about it too much, went to sleep, and so on.
After I went to school, I was playing Pokémon Leaf Green in the cafeteria and I began to notice I was definitely having difficulty breathing and swallowing. It felt like my throat was being squeezed. I called my parents about it, but decided to go to class anyway. Well, it got worse during class (to the point that I could no longer even handle to concentrate , so I left a little bit early and took the bus to Auburn, where Mom picked me up. She suspected I was having an allergic reaction to something, so she gave me some Benadryl. This helped a little, but not enough. We went to the ER to decide what to do, and after hanging out in the parking lot of the ER for a while, I decided I had improved enough to not need to go to the ER. I went to a doctor's appointment later, where I got prescriptions for some medicines to ward off the reaction.
The picking up of the prescriptions was a long, complicated, boring process, so I'll spare you the details. D: Anyway, in the end, Prednisone made it all better. My throat is starting to feel slightly tight again, but I'll take some more Prednisone tomorrow to ward it off. I have no idea what triggered the reaction, but it's scary feeling like your throat is going to close up. It really, really is. I'm supposed to be getting some Epipens in case an even more serious reaction occurs, but there have been insurance issues.
Also, I finally bought myself a Nintendo DS! :D ♥ ♥ ♥ And not only that--it's a rare Nintendo DS. The PokéPark Nintendo DS, to be exact:
Granted, it's not the Mew DS like I originally wanted, and it's used, but--hey, $105 for a rare DS? Not bad. I had some difficulty finding any normal used DSes for that much. I'm not complaining. By the way, I did not buy it at Game Choice Club. Ebay, rather.
I'm so excited! I can finally get Pokémon Diamond and Pearl!
Also, poor Salula! Something weird happened to her eyelid, and when I checked on her this morning it was all crusted over and disgusting and horrific-looking. :( We went to Ridge Feed to buy antibiotics, but they were expensive, so I used some antibiotics we had around the house. Ryan helped me, and we managed to get most of the infected skin away at the cost of screwing up her eyelid a bit. Trust me, though, all that skin was going to fall off anyway. Her eyelid doesn't cover all of her eye anymore, but it covers most of it and I figure her third eyelid can help with the bit it doesn't cover. I hope she's going to be okay.
I was happy there was a new episode of Darker Than Black yesterday! It was good. :D
