Watched Diebuster today! I loved it. The ending was just so perfect. Now I want to watch both Gunbuster and Diebuster again, maybe with some friends. As it seems happens with nearly every GAINAX series I watch, it made me appreciate them all over again and feel inspired and moved. GAINAX is great at that. One of the things I love about GAINAX is that their series are so human, ultimately. Sure, there's robots and fanservice and wacky humor, but at their core GAINAX series are always about becoming a better person, and somehow the way they do this is overpowering enough that it never gets old or fails to be genuine. I love how GAINAX series are both incredibly entertaining AND incredibly heartfelt at the same time. It's a unique studio, it really is.

Totally crushing on Lal'c. Got this very magnetic feeling toward her character immediately, and I was looking at the seiyuu list and, voila! Maaya Sakamoto. Everything is explained, haha. I love her character design, too, though. It's different and adorable.

Now that I have my laptop back and it's stormy/chilly out, my creativity levels are going way up! I want to do pretty much everything expressive ever. I'm doing a drawing for a banner for Collector Viper and I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out. I hope it'll be as pretty and vivid as I'm imagining. Once I finish that, I have a pony-related drawing to do for a kiriban, and a bunch of drawings I'm just doing for myself.

I went down to Roseville for an appointment, and ended up stopping several places on the way. There were so many great deals on Pokémon and ponies that I brought some home. :D

Apparently it's old news and the author is already being trolled, but I was amused to see a book on 4chan at Barnes & Noble. I wish there were more books about internet culture and community, hopefully eventually more will be published. I'd love to see some good books on fandom in particular.

Ate dinner at Fresh Choice and came home. I wish Makayla had been able to come along as originally planned, but regardless it was a very nice day.

Tomorrow I'm going to ship off the two or so packages that need to go out, and then go about listing things on Ebay. I'm selling Pokémon figures in two big lots, and I'm going to post my original Pokémon animation sequences again, and I may work on selling some of my unwanted anime stuff, too. Trying to debate whether I want to list my second Umbreon prototype V-trainer. I could use the money but I worry it'll be a waste of time putting it up. I just have to take care not to get list too many things at once and become disorganized, but I think I'll be okay considering I'm only selling a few things so they'll be easy to keep straight. That's my primary issue with sales--keeping track of all the small items and details. Then I get overwhelmed and nothing happens for a long time. Anyway, I hope it goes well.

I've been having fun downloading music and listening to it lately. I've been going through the whole discography of a songwriter-singer I've been a fan of for years, Edwin McCain. I can't say I'm a fan of everything he does because sometimes his songs get a little too twangy or too jazzy for me, but he has a lot of absolutely splendid, beautifully written music. Often inspiring, storytelling music. The only song of his that got much success is incidentally a song I'm not a big fan of (I'll Be), and it legitimately surprises me that he doesn't get more attention. Maybe I'll upload some of my favorites of his music if anyone is interested. Two of his CDs I've been listening for more than a decade and they're so nostalgic and special to me, but in these newer CDs of his there are a ton of great songs, too. I'm kinda keeping my ear out for songs to use in AMVs. :D

Apparently the new cockatiels are arriving on Wednesday. :)

I hope I get some ideas for NaNoWriMo soon!
