Mar. 24th, 2011 08:35 pmSo, as of a few days ago, both of my laptops are not working due to power cord malfunctions! This is driving me crazy, especially because my mom's computer (which I'm on now) is super slow and unreliable. As a result, I've barely been online lately and I've been playing Pokémon Black instead. If I take a while to reply or don't respond to posts, that's why. I miss my newer laptop, bawww, it's so wonderful and now I can't even use it until the new cord arrives (and even then, it might still be an internal issue, which will have to be repaired if it is). I want to download AMVs and watch anime and be able to do all the internet things I love.
I was going to go to dad's to use his computer for a while and just to visit, but I went up to Grass Valley and it was snowing like crazy so I decided it wasn't a good idea.
I am so sick of the weather! Don't get me wrong, I like rain, but rain for something like three weeks almost straight? This is getting old. Luckily, the weather is supposed to break on Sunday. I'm looking forward to sun. There are big streams running through my chicken coops, nooo. ;____; Everyone else seems to be sick of the weather, too. I can't remember the last time we had so much rain all at once like this.
I brought all my serama hens on eggs in the garage, seeing as some of the eggs are rather late-term and I don't want them hatching outside in the freezing cold/wet where they might die even with the mommies caring for them. Serama chicks are delicate! I might have chicks in a few days. We'll see, it might take longer than a few days, but they're at the stage where it's hard to say exactly what day they're on. My hens are also on a black east indies duck egg that does seem to be growing. BEI duck eggs are supposedly hard to hatch, so I'm not getting my hopes up too high, but it would sure be fun to have a tiny BEI duckling!
I'm petsitting the great horned owl, Chester, again! Along with Suzi the male cockatoo and Bev's chickens as well. I'm watching them all weekend.
I reeeally want to get my T-J invoice so I can pay it off and get my box! I guess I'll send them an e-mail if it doesn't arrive soon.
Rescuing 500 hens with my work next Tuesday morning! That will bring our total of hens rescued this year to over 1000! I coordinated those rescues. :D I'm proud!
