(no subject)

I'm proud of myself because today, I made a small amount of progress on my quail pen. Nailing wood together is not difficult (or I don't think it should be difficult, anyway), but it can be somewhat challenging when you're clueless like myself. Still, I feel a silly sense of accomplishment. I have more hammering ahead of me, but I can do it! Even if it takes a while! The quail will be so thrilled with this pen, it's way bigger than their current one.

I won't go into details because I don't want to get my hopes up prematurely, but suffice to say, the PERFECT job popped up today. Even more perfect than a vet assistant job. Like...a position that screams "THIS JOB WAS MADE FOR KRISTIN!" I wrote a resume and cover letter and sent it in more-or-less immediately. I'm not going to get optimistic yet, it's entirely probable someone else will get the job and I won't know for a few weeks most likely if I'm going to get it, but if I get this job...man, it will be perfect. And you will all go, "Kristin, I can't even believe a job like that popped up in your area." FATE? Might be. We shall see what happens.

There was an awesome thunderstorm last night. Poor Hooch was scared of the thunder, but I loved it. :D

I feel kinda bleh at the moment for some reason. Maybe because I ate weird things today. I feel bad I never took the dogs for a walk. I got too distracted applying for the job. At least I took them for a walk for a hour and a half or something yesterday.

I really have nothing interesting to talk about lately, sorry everyone! ^^; Gotta go take pictures of the keets like I keep saying I will.

And make more lists, I guess, hahaha. I keep making lists as if it will accomplish anything...
