Sep. 8th, 2010 01:54 amWoo, another day where I fall asleep during the early evening and wake up late! What joy my weird sleep schedule is. XD Well, at least mom knows I'm serious when I say I'm tired now! I guess I'll stay up another few hours and then go back to sleep.
The prototype Umbreon v-trainer I had given up on as lost in the mail? Arrived today! :D I'm looking forward to auctioning that baby off. It was kind of amazing having two in my hand at once, haha. My adorable Ash/Pika hanken cel ought to arrive tomorrow by EMS, I'm looking forward to seeing it in person!
I have 30+ serama eggs on the way to me, too. However many I hatch, I will be happy, even if it's a small number. Of course, the more the merrier, though. Also looking into buying 2-3 bantam buff-laced polish hens. If I do get some, I plan on keeping them with Minky so all the birds who are slightly sight-impaired by feathers are together and won't bully each other. XD I feel bad for Minky, hanging out all by herself for now. And on another chicken note, Charming, whose chicks are maybe 5 weeks old now (just an approximation, I don't feel like checking their hatch date at the moment), is back on eggs already. I think I can begin to consider my serama breeding project a small success now! Amusingly enough, Charming was sitting on her eggs, and Splash usually sits where the eggs are so she's sitting on top of Charming while the chicks sleep in the feathers of both hens. Oh chickens, you're so silly and cute.
I'm so excited for Pokémon B/W, aughhh~! I'm always excited for new Pokémon generations but I think I might even be more excited for this one than I think I've ever been for one.
I've been having bizarre dreams lately and remembering them quite a bit. I'm not going to write them up, but I will write a few particularly odd images down.
( For my reference, you can read if you want, though! )
Neighbor problem has, for the most part, been solved I think, in that for now my solution is to only take the dogs in the backyard where they rarely bark and it faces away from the neighbor. Hopefully that will work out well, if it does not I'll work on other training to get them to stop being such barkers at night.
I worked at the intake center today. The season has seriously dwindled down to almost nothing, so it's good we're shutting down the center next week. We got in a cat-caught grosbeak, but the poor thing was in terrible condition and suffering. At first we were going to give it some time and see if it pulled through, but upon further examination we discovered even more awful wounds and decided to put it down. We examined it after we euthanized it, and...man, those wounds were terrible. I think it may have been the second worst wounds I've ever seen on a live bird, the first being the goldfinch I euthanized with her intestines hanging out. :( You could see this grosbeak's innards through the wounds, it was really for the best that we put the poor thing out of its suffering.
Things to do soon:
* Clean out incubator, clear a space for it, and get it warmed up tomorrow.
* Work on
poke_arts exchange and then a drawing for
straydogstarbck because I want to draw canines.
* Do sculptures of some sort, finish Eevee sculpture.
* Finish packages and send, then work on sales/offers for v-chip figures and leftover stuff.
* Go to Home Depot and try to figure out building a new quail enclosure, keep looking for more dog kennels.
* PM Candace back
