Pen-Pen is growing up so fast! He's already about five times the size he was when he hatched! He's been moved into a larger brooder so he has more room, while the eighteen chicks have moved in with The Salula, Minky, and their three adopted children (Poppy, Cocoa, and Eden) so they have more room as well. Pen-Pen came with me to school on Wednesday and got to be my drawing subject, which was rather fun. He also got to follow me to the chicken coop and back, which was awesome. He is SO tame, it's wonderful! Love him. He follows at my heels wherever I go.

It turns out both my serama chicks are cockerels. :( Kinda disappointed, I was thinking one was a hen. The one that I thought was a hen is TINY, though--might be A-sized! I may see if the breeders I got Prince, Charming, and Splash from would be interested in the two cockerels, and I may bring them to the Chickenstock on June 5th if not along with whatever of the eighteen chicks I decide not to keep. If the serama boys' dad can put up with them, they can stay, but I have a feeling once they're mature he's not going to be so fatherly towards them. Plus, I don't want inbreeding. Ugh, I'm a bit attached, though. I'll have to think about it. I really wish it was possible to just keep a bunch of roosters without issues, but unfortunately that's not the case.

I'm too tired to write much more, I should just go to bed instead of rambling on other subjects I guess. I'll have to write about anything else tomorrow (er, today, technically) or Sunday.

I go take a nap, wake up, and there are new starter silhouettes! ZOMG SO EXCITED. :D I am very optimistic based off the silhouettes! I hope the grass starter is a cute bird. *___* I don't know, I could fall in love with any of them or all of them, we'll see when they're fully revealed!

I must admit to being a little lukewarm about Hoenn and Sinnoh's starters (okay, Torchic and Mudkip are quite cute, and I do like Piplup but got a bit tired of him, and Turtwig is all right but I'm not enthusiastic about it), so I hope this gen brings back my starter LOVE.

Now to have a fun week of watching everyone's amusing/cute/fun/AHHH WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?! interpretations of the silhouettes. *____* Oh Pixiv, you will be fun this week!

In other news, my assignment for Japanese class is to watch a bunch of anime in place of going to the "language lab" (AKA place you go to watch Japanese movies and whatnot), which is never open when I have free time, so I'm downloading a bunch of stuff to watch. It's good this is forcing me to download series because I want to watch a bunch of anime before Fanime anyhow so I can feel more up-to-date on things and not be all old-school, acting like three-year-old series are still the newest thing out there, haha.

Today has been fun. Mom and I went to the farmer's market and bought yummy local-grown food, and then we went to see the mustangs and burros for adoption. There were so many adorable mustangs and burros--I wish we could adopt one or several but of course horses (especially wild horses) are a lot of time, work, and money, and my mom wants to rescue another thoroughbred more than she wants a mustang. When we went to go visit Rivi (our horse), mom put him out in the pasture and he went crazy--tearing all around and bucking and going nuts. Haha. Also, he had a huge mud splotch on his side that looked like South America.
