Turns out Daniell can't take Mr. Guinea Pig after all--she had an allergic reaction to him after she got home. :( Unfortunate, as I would have been very happy with that situation. Going to have to think about what I'm going to do with him. I suppose I can just put an ad up for him, but I just...hate giving up animals to homes where I'll never hear of them again. ;; The guinea pig I'm probably getting on Sunday, though, comes with a cage so at least the girls will have one cage and the boy will have a cage, too, until I figure out what to do with him. I'm tempted to just get him a boy buddy and keep a girl cage and a boy cage, but I know Mom's not going to go for that. XD We'll see, I guess.
Called about the chickens today! Alas, they don't have much in the way of bantams, but they DO have silkies! I've always wanted a silkie (FLOOFY AND SWEET AND ADORABLE, plz to be googling them), so on Friday morning I'll get one or two silkies and take a look at everything else. If there's anything overwhelmingly beautiful I'll probably buckle, but really...bantams are my thing, primarily. I want to get some Sumatras some day and I have a few larger chickens that I ended up with one way or another, but other than that everything I want chicken-wise is bantam.
I'm hopefully going to head down to San Francisco next Friday to pick up my crazy (in an awesome way) aunt and bring her back up to our house for the weekend because she wants to see us and our house and is too chicken to drive all the way up there. We probably won't leave until Saturday or Friday night, so I'll go hang out in Japantown and whatnot during the day Friday. Should be fun! I hope it works out for next weekend because if it does
ensuing and I will probably get to hang out. :D
Next weekend is also the Celtic Festival, and honestly I look forward to spending time with my aunt. It's odd--I used to be reticent to spend time with my relatives, and now I'm growing more fond of them for some reason I cannot pinpoint. Perhaps that I'm an adult now and seen more as an equal, IDK?
The dog park was so funny tonight! All the dogs were being really lazy and just kind of loafing around until a boy riding a bike came by the dog park and starting riding along the perimeter of the fence, and they all started barking and chasing him. Now, one would think the dog owners would then want him to leave so the dogs wouldn't get all wound up, but instead we were cheering the boy on and insisting he keep doing laps so they dogs would do laps with him, ahaha. It was hilarious watching Honey running as fast as her short legs can take her chasing the kid on the bike along with several of the other dogs. I like the dog park bunch--both the dogs and the people. I must admit, though, I don't know the names of any of the people and I know the names of all of the dogs. XD
I'm sitting on the couch with all three of my dogs right now, and THEY'RE SO CUTE. Gah, I never get sick of my doggies. They're so adorable and sweet and hilarious and fun.
Not much else to write about at the moment... I have a long day of school ahead of me tomorrow (2 PM-9:30 PM essentially) that I'm not looking forward to. Simply because it's looong, not because I don't like the classes. Once I get through that, Friday will be nice, though! Between the possibility of getting some silkies and Makayla and I starting work on our AMV, I'm looking forward to Friday.
