I'm watching the dogs for the day because Mom took Ryan and his friend Jake snowboarding for the day. I have done absolutely nothing all day, and it's making me feel kind of crummy... I have work I should be doing for Chemistry and whatnot and I haven't accomplished anything all day.

Anyway, I just went to take the dogs out and found a letter outside of our house. Inside is a complaint about our chicken coop, which mom insisted on putting on the far end of the property near our neighbors. D: They say that in Nevada County it has to be 20-30 feet from the property line, which ours is like...seven feet or something, orz. The problem is that it's a permanent structure and can't be moved, and it cost us over $1000 to build so there's no WAY we could tear it down and build another one. This is making me really nervous because my chickens/miscellaneous poultry are my pets and friends (I've had some of them for almost a decade now) and I'm not sure how we'll be able to solve this. I guess we'll just have to talk to the neighbors about it... I feel really bad, though, because I understand where they're coming from. The coop does smell in the winter because of the mud and the two female guinea fowl are loud. :/ I just hate conflict and hope they'll understand and we'll be able to reach some sort of agreement that doesn't impact my poultry/cost us a bunch of money. I knew it was an awful idea to put the chicken coop in that close, but mom wouldn't have any of it because she wants to put in a barn and pasture for our horse eventually.

BAWWW I get way too nervous about little conflicts. ;____; *Flails*

In happier news, mom and I went down to Graylodge again yesterday and saw the sandhill cranes on the way there again! My pictures this time turned out much better, though they're certainly not masterpieces or anything. I took quite a few other pictures, though, and there were lots of nice sights and different birds. I'll post pictures probably sometime in the next week or so. We went shopping afterward in Yuba City, which was mostly uneventful. I bought a 24" x 18" canvas randomly because it was only $4.50 and I'll have leftover paint from my sculptures I'm working on, and a Pokémon guidebook with everything up to Darkrai in it.

Not much else to say... I should have used this day better and actually gotten some things done. To my very slight credit, I think I am a little sick, though. My sore throat persists.
