3031!

Currently at 3031 just over twenty-four hours in, so not bad so far! It's always a little discouraging to go on the forums and see all the 7K and 10K and beyond people, but hey--I'm ahead of schedule and having a good time, so it doesn't matter. Last night the writing just wasn't flowing, tonight it's going a lot better. Granted the current style that's working seems to be extremely long run-on sentences, but for extremely long run-in sentences some of them are quite beautiful so I'm not complaining!

Mira is pretty...pitiful, hahaha. Good thing she's intended to be a dead-end character who will then face a transformation as the novel goes on, or I think I'd be sick of writing this novel already. She's got a bipolar mother who likes to leave at random for a week or so at a time before she shows up again, a father who...well, okay, I don't know what the deal with the father is but so far he's done nothing but read comic books on the couch, an older brother who she used to be close with but now basically pretends she doesn't exist, friends who are really shallow and bitchy, and on top of all of it no one except her has any memories whatsoever of her best friend dying in front of her when she was younger, or even any memory that he existed in the first place.

This all sounds a whole lot angstier than it actually is, because she's apathetic about nearly all of it, but you get the idea.

It's been POURING down rain since late night Halloween. It finally stopped now, but it was pouring all day consistently. The chicken coop is like mud soup, ewww.

I guess I should probably get to bed so I can work on my online class tomorrow.
