Jul. 19th, 2008 01:07 amI got in a baby wild turkey today with leg nerve damage, a possible break, and maybe something else as well, but it was too late for it and all I could do was hold it to keep it warm as it died.
I have decided to make some changes in my lifestyle, because I'm quite simply not that happy with it. As much as I claim to love slacking (and I do, to a degree), I want to try and accomplish more. So, on the advice of this random article I stumbled upon, I will begin waking up at 9 AM every morning regardless of what's happening and go to bed whenever I'm so tired that I can hardly stay awake. I'm just trying it out for a few weeks, and if it doesn't work for me by the end of a few weeks, I'll go back to my everything goes schedule.
I'm also seriously considering limiting the amount of time I spend online. To like...three hours a day. I don't know, I'm still thinking on this one. We'll see. The problem is, I want to limit my random internet time and whatnot, but I also don't want to limit my writing, drawing, and anime watching... I suppose I could just turn off the internet after I've been online for the allotted hours.
Considering these changes go well, I may make other adjustments as well.
The song duel in Macross Frontier 15 had me in stitches, hahaha. I don't know why--it was just so ridiculous that I couldn't stop laughing. (I think this proves how easily amused I am.)
I need to start
happyjolteon's drawing soon. At least she's off in Japan, so I have until she gets back. I would like to ship out packages by Tuesday, though, so perhaps I'll work on it tomorrow and see how far I get.
A fantastic Pokémon fanfic
kanthia wrote really made me want to get in the fanfiction writing groove again. I know I keep saying it, but it's like I feel the tiniest inspiration sparking at me, and it's just a matter of sitting down with as few distractions as possible and typing away. I have so many amazingly messed-up stories building up and I want to get them down before I forget about them.
I'm on call for wildlife rehab tomorrow. I hope it's quiet tomorrow! Especially because it seems around half of our rehabbers are out of town/off-duty. :< At least I think most of them will be back by Tuesday, when I'm on call again.
